A lecture on Israel feels necessary when it’s made about what the left or right do or don’t say rather than on the war crimes Israel have been committing for, what, 40+ years?

Yes, Iran has a lot of horrific issues. But it is also very clear which government is responsible for more innocent deaths, and it isn’t the one the West freaks out over.

Why you felt the need to take a potshot about political views in the face of Israel being rightly called a more dangerous extremist state than Iran is beyond me, given that Israel deserves no defending whatsoever and they are a far more violent belligerent than damn near any other country in the Middle East, certainly when acting under the guise of “sovereignty” to justify their long genocide of the Palestinian people.

How this discussion can ever be focused on anything beyond Israel’s actions and how we in the West enable them is so far beyond reason in my eyes that shifting the focus away from the indiscriminate killing Israel does every single day is to imply that there is actually some justification.

There isn’t. Period.
 
It’s a bit crass of me to put a value judgement on it like that, I admit; Israel is just at such a major advantage in resources and matériels that even without the standard allies stepping in, Iran going to actual war with them would have horrific consequences for the Islamic Republic. There’s no military in the region that can come close to what Israel can (and does, regularly) bring down.

Air superiority is still a trump card in the region and Israel has the best one out there by a mile.
 
Netanyahu is a murderous dictator with a good backstory to use as justification.
Iran sponsors and controls Hamas, Hezbollah, the Huthis, syria and who knows who the fuck else.
If the outcome of this fucks both netanyahu and the ayatollah, it's a good result, but let's stop this nonsense that says there's an even remotely innocent party in any of this, because there fuckin isn't, well except for ordinary israeli and iranian citizens.

In all honesty I see precious little discussion on threads like this; mainly the same small group espousing the same exact narrow viewpoint from the exact same moral, intellectual and political position, on what is a pretty complex geopolitical situation, with any non-prescribed view treated with hysterical horror in grandstanding fashion. Forgive me, but classic sign of a shallow and rarely-challenged worldview.

And someone tell Mr Hyperactive WUM that unless I'm directly addressing someone, it doesn't necessarily follow that my comment relates to them, it's usually the source they're posting, or the public figures that inspire them, actually.

For me, well my idea of a solution anyway,
01, is nato move a combined, weaponised force into Gaza, and orders the israelis to move out
2, is, by whatever means necessary, Iran's nuclear facilities are immobilised by the same organisation, and if that means a thunderblaster (or whatever it's called) bomb hit's the under the mountain facility, so be it.
3. A nato police force is put into west gaza to stop the settlers just moving in.

There is no negotiating with either the ayatollah or netanyahu, they're both egotistical liars, so the big boys need to step in and put them in their pissy dictatorship places, tell them to go home, stay there and shut the fuck up, until the Gazan, and israeli normal citizens are safe, the two state solution, in agreement with all the arab nations and the UN is in place, and both iran and israel told to shut the fuck up, bite the bullet, and behave like good little boys, or else.
That's how you use international power not sitting on your hands and waffling.

There has certainly been a lot of that.

However "we" have got involved in the middle east before and it's been a shit show, I can see why there is a reluctance, and they're all preying on that.

Anyway, as for being far right, you did that at the start of this thread and it's continued with your sensitivity and defence over any criticism of a far right regime that is committing genocide.
