I don't understand why you reference the 'carpet bomb'. Everyone knows there are plenty of options between 'Tut tutting' and 'Carpet bombing'.
Silly example, but are we supposed to just 'Tut tut' or 'Carpet bomb' when West Brom fans riot at FA Cup ties?
Wilf Wolf refers to commonly used sanctions. What do you think about that?
 
I have no idea why anybody would minimise war crimes or the raft of potential responses to them. As if the futility of any action means that one shouldn't try, or that the options are as binary as red carpet or nuclear bomb. Turn a blind eye, or anti-semitism are the only positions

It's just too complicated for the likes of me.

Their economy is built on US aid, not sure that would make a huge difference.

Sure, but saying something must be done is predicated on that 'something' actually making a difference.

The only path to peace involves removing Hamas and Likud from power. So any efforts should be directed towards those twin goals.
 
Nothing has been done to Israel though has it?

We can't even say they're committing genocide, let alone impose sanctions, so how does anyone know what the impact would be?

I'm absolutely appalled by the actions of Israel, it's definitely genocide as far as I'm concerned but to say nothing has been done to Israel is ridiculous.
It's Hammas stated intention to eliminate Israel and remove Jews, from the river (Jordan) to the sea.
There has been loads of terrorist action against Israel, none of that justifies what Israel has done since the attack and kidnapping of October 2023.
