Ok, I know we have a game in the Europa League first but I thought I'd fire this up anyway.

Just a bit of info to anyone who's going to the game, there will be applause on the 24th minute to remember a Leicester fan who passed away in May, aged 24. It would be good for us to join in

Every other game there's a minutes applause. The away fans always join in. It's all very special and heartwarming.

I probably shouldn't have laughed when I read that.

Don't be facetious, Lycan... Many a time we've stood there and no one has had a clue why people are applauding. Just thought I'd pass on the reason early

If you did that every pre match thread they'd read like an obituary.

Hell of a run between 2000-09

Going to be a tough game I think given our travels to Armenia & Leicester being touted for big things this season.

Going to be pessimistic and say we will lose 2-1.

At the risk of invoking my inner Jinky, I really can't say I'm very confident given the travelling back from Armenia.

We might well be sharper than them (given we've played more 'competitive' games), but it's a long old way back after Thursday night.

And vs Leicester:

2018/19: W 4-3 (H), L 0-2 (A), D 0-0 (H, LC, lost on pens)
2012/13: W 2-1 (H), L 1-2 (A)
2007/8: D 1-1 (H), D 0-0 (A)
2006/7: L 1-2 (H), W 4-1 (A)
2005/6: D 0-0 (H), L 0-1 (A)
2004/5: D 1-1 (H), D 1-1 (A)
2003/4: W 4-3 (H), D 0-0 (A)
2002/3: D 1-1 (H), L 0-1 (A), W 4-1 (H, FAC)
1995/6: L 2-3 (H), L 0-1 (A)
1994/5: W 1-0 (H, FAC)
1993/4: D 1-1 (H), D 2-2 (A)
1992/3: W 3-0 (H), D 0-0 (A)
1991/2: W 1-0 (H), L 0-3 (A)
1990/1: W 2-1 (H), L 0-1 (A), W 1-0 (A, ZDS)
1989/90: W 5-0 (H), D 0-0 (A)

Be a problem if we were playing Friday or Saturday.

Losing on a Sunday after a Euro trek gives teams/moany managers an excuse. Now if we are travelling the normal route which takes 17 hours, might have a case but we won't be. The players will be back in the UK on Friday after a 7 hourish flight, recovery time is that day. Then they will be in for a normal training session the day before the game and then travel to Leicester and staying over. It isn't ideal we are trekking to the arse end of Europe but done properly and the players managed properly it shouldn't make any difference.

1-1.

And I would take that. Anything else is a bonus. Decent squad Leicester.

The Armenia trip shouldn't take it out of them too much as it not as if they are flying Ryanair economy class - will be back on the Friday & have a bit of wind down/preparation time before the game.

Plus our 'pre-season' games have had a more competetive element to them than usual (whatever the level of the opposition that cannot of hurt).

Away from home against a decent team then would accept a draw, but no reason we cannot go there & win.

We're going to win this, 2-1 or 3-2
