Of course but it would never happen, this over the top nonsense. You would want the same if Wolves won it

I don't know, it was insane when Leicester won it (rightly so)You wouldn't get it though.
Just seen the Palace goals, the best keeper in the world was a bit crap again.6 in a row
Villa out the cup
West Brom confirmed in the Championship
Gibbs-White missing an open goal in the semi final
Beautiful.
First one is right at him.Just seen the Palace goals, the best keeper in the world was a bit crap again.
That was then. Based on their coverage these days they'd just spend all the time talking about how bad the big six are to have allowed it to happen again.I don't know, it was insane when Leicester won it (rightly so)
Little smile from me after his OTT celebration at the penalty miss and not along after watching the ball fly past himJust seen the Palace goals, the best keeper in the world was a bit crap again.
To be fair, that's what they have done to Liverpool before today. That was then. Based on their coverage these days they'd just spend all the time talking about how bad the big six are to have allowed it to happen again.
I'd want a statement from Starmer if we won it.You would want the same if Wolves won it
I heard one City fan had spent over £6k on Wembley games and simply couldn’t afford it and the final if they got there.City fans getting pelters for only taking 26k to Wembley today. Mostly from armchair Man Utd, Liverpool & Arsenal fans.
To put it into perspective if you were born in the year 2000 as a city fan you would have seen them play at Wembley 28 times. Would be 30 if it weren’t for Covid.
We all remember how hard it was to get back to the midlands on a Sunday night from Wembley I got in at 1am and was up for work at 6.
Biggest thing I can draw from this is stop playing semi finals at Wembley.
Today could’ve been played at Villa park and yesterday at Tottenham. It’s all on deaf ears as the FA will never budge on it.

I’ll always have a place in my heart for Nuno but I can’t stand Forest.
The same problem as last time, a Championship defence. Bogle is probably the only one who could do ok in the PL. Jury's out on Tenaka for me. I don't think Piroe has enough pace for the PL.Dunno what to expect from Leeds next season, they appear to be miles ahead of the rest of the Championship but I can’t see much that I think would improve our squad, Piroe and Tenaka look decent but their defence is made up of the likes of Rodin, Ampadou and Bogle, not very Premier League.
Rodin is likely to be statuesque!Dunno what to expect from Leeds next season, they appear to be miles ahead of the rest of the Championship but I can’t see much that I think would improve our squad, Piroe and Tenaka look decent but their defence is made up of the likes of Rodin, Ampadou and Bogle, not very Premier League.
I need to think about that one.Rodin is likely to be statuesque!
The big difference you are missing is the quality of the nations was a lot closer due to the lack of migration. So Forest may have only beaten Malmo, but that team had 10 Swedish Internationals in it. The Anderlecht team that Villa beat in the 82 semis had 6 players from their 82 World Cup team including Franky Vercauteren. Also trips behind the iron curtain were levelers given the conditions on and off the pitch.Looking back at the European cups back when they won I didn’t realise how few teams were in it just 33 from preliminary round to the final. Would be the equivalent of the competition starting from the play off round now. Beat 2 really tough sides in each competition Liverpool and Cologne in 78/79 and Ajax and Hamburg in 79/80. Outside of that some of sides they beat were playing in much smaller leagues ie pitesi of Romania, Osters of Sweden, AEK Athens and Malmo.
The current CL means the level of opposition is far more brutal earlier in knockout rounds than it was back then.
Also clubs winning back to back EC was far more common 7 clubs between 1955-1992 managed to retain their title. Just 1 club has managed it Real since the formation of the CL.
