I think if you have that shot ten times, it's blocked or saved seven or eight, but probably deserved on the balance of play
Women.Lesson : Never ever write these girls off.

I can't imagine anybody would have the same reaction if someone yelled "come on boys" or whatever. Seems like looking for a problem when there's none there tbh.Women.
Definitely the weakest position on that side of the gender divide. Occasionally get some very good ones but it doesn't seem like the coaching is there yet, even in Europe. Most of these this summer have been good for a gaffe a game, give or take.Absolutely awful keeping to spill it right back into danger
It's more about the macro-societal patterns that tend to devalue things in which women are involved. See: the inverse relationship between nurse salaries and the transition of nursing from male-dominated to female-dominated (granted, that's a US example).I can't imagine anybody would have the same reaction if someone yelled "come on boys" or whatever. Context and intent are only part of the equation, but like I say, I understand why it seems like a double-standard.I think the problem is when people jump on single words, completely ignoring the context and intent. I don't remember the spice girls talking about "women power".
I guarantee one of the players will say something about pride in "these girls" after the game
World’s gone mad!But you calling this out will hopefully make me think twice about "come on lads" or similar.
Quite similar to men’s team last summer really isn’t it. Seemingly end of a cycle under a coach who’s done a fantastic job but now seem to be out of ideas. Enough individual quality and spirit to get them to a certain point.
I would be interested in knowing if these ladies would think of being called “girls” by other women differently than by men. I would guess so, but I don’t really know.
