Live Match Discussion 2024/25

Man Utd's league form since February:

P13 W2 D4 L7

The two wins were against Ipswich and Leicester
Amorim and Ange have polar opposite approaches, but both are in their own way delusional. One is Europe's all well and good but this isn't acceptable, without acknowledging he's had plenty of time to at least get them on an upward curve

The other is giving Europe as a reason for their rancid league season, which may be true for the last month, but certainly wasn't the case before that when it was the EL the second team were playing in. He's such an unlikeable arse.

We didn't lose 20 games in 2003/04 when we finished bottom

Been watching Napoli v Genoa, I’ve seen Napoli a few times this season on a Sunday night, McTominay has had a storming season, another example of the current chaos within Man United

Sheffield United will go up, the Coventry Sunderland first leg was terrible quality.

Don't mind Blades but Wilder is a grade A prick

Not sure what their budget will be like if they come up but that squad will need a hell of a lot of work to have even a small chance next season. They still start Jack Robinson at CB 💀

Only really watched the play offs, but Burrows looks a decent player. Hamer and the homophobic centre half could be PL players in the right team. That's about it

I did think earlier what odds you could get on Farke, Parker (rhymes) and Wilder all being sacked by Christmas. Only the patience of the Mormons lads in charge at Burnley likely stopping it.

Bristol City are the worst playoff team I have ever seen. Absolutely fucking shite from back to front. They wouldn't have been a million miles off relegation in other seasons.

The amount of times the commentators said they're 'Premier League ready' or words to that effect over the 2 legs was weird. Erm... u wot mate?

Their ground is the epitome of Championship fodder (it's fine and all that but its a stretch to say it belongs in the top flight), their fans only seem to turn up en masse when it looks like they might over achieve (I've not forgotten their sense of entitlement when they had that great start in the league circa 2008 and were annoyed that we 'only' gave them the Steve Bull lower, and that pitch invasion for finishing 6th was really funny).

Fantastic city, but a club with delusions of grandeur.

Tbh I don't think I ever got over how much Lee Johnson used to piss me off.

We’ve been here before with Bristol City and their over inflated opinion of themselves as a football club.
Their ground is more famous because of the flats behind it were used for the outdoor filming of OFAH.
No major trophy to their name and only ever had 8 top flight seasons.
It’s a common theme with clubs that are in big cities. Cardiff, Coventry, Birmingham all think their club is big with little evidence to back it up in fact you’d find supporters of all these clubs including Bristol city that think they’re as big or bigger than ourselves.
On no metric could they argue it just use conjecture, myth and future projection
Bristol is a nice city, good night life, good food scene, excellent university and good architecture sports wise it’s a backwater.
