Coventry have really taken the game to a very poor Sunderland side. Sunderland's tactics have been awful. Just sitting back on a 1-0 lead until the inevitable happens and Coventry score to level the scores at 2-2. Can see Coventry winning this ... Sunderland fans can't be happy to be at home and basically defending all night.

Sheff Utd should win the final comfortably and even they are going have a real issue next season.

The pyramid may have a problem but we’ll see in time but it’s no coincidence that the 3 clubs who came top 3 this season look a distinct distance above the rest and are sat on nice big parachute payments. Burnley only lost twice. Sheff Utd had 2 points docked as well.

Coventry were the better side over both legs. Sunderland only had a good spell in the 2nd half of extra time. I don't have much sympathy though as Coventry just didn't have much quality where it mattered.

Anything can happen in a one off game but Sheffield United should be fairly heavy favourites at Wembley

Both have a terrible play off record. Sunderland 1/8, Sheff U 0/9

You look at the two already up and then those in the playoff final and apart from at Leeds, there's no players in any of the others who are going to score goals in the Premier League.

The EFL have a broadcast deal with Sky it's just worth way way less. Sky has Sky Sports Premier League and another channel Sky Sports football which broadcasts everything else including televised EFL and SPL games

If you're an Albion fan then a) I pity you and b) you could have watched at least 30 of their 46 games on Sky this season.

There is no additional money in it as it is shit, shit, shit football, and who would even show it.

ITV tried that road in the early 2000s and it did not end well.

Obviously I’m delighted Sunderland won but both teams looked way off the Premier League.

All Coventry have are endless balls into the box from out wide. You can see how they have scored so many headed goals this season. Sunderland have been pretty woeful for a while now. They may scrape through at Wembley but would 100% come straight back down.

Problem is the championship whilst it gets good crowds and is big for people in England it just won’t attract the fraction of interest globally as the PL does so therefore can’t generate big tv deals.
