Spanish media behaving like self entitled pricks about Sunday. Firstly losing on penalties isn’t bad luck we had that mind set for years then realised if you pay more attention to detail you might succeed.
Playing more attractive football doesn’t give you self entitlement yo we in matches. Also moaning about Chloe Kelly celebrating you might want to not make drinking tea gestures after Beth Mead missed her penalty.
The attitude of “pls play in a way so it’s easier for us to win” if they had a really bad decision go against them fair enough but they didn’t.
Trust me if things were reversed then no one would give us an ounce of sympathy.
Spain should have made their first half dominance count. What's the point in being the better team if you can't put the game to bed? Letting it go to pens is Spain's fault - they turned the game into a 50/50. More fool them.
Nothing to see here I’d say. England deserved to win because they won. Banjos point exactly. But it’s a perspective thing. If you wanted Spain to win (I did for example) you’d be frustrated and would have observed that England got close to the line physically, without really crossing it. Roles reversed and evidently pundits bemoaning ‘throwing themselves to the ground’ would be bemoaning ‘boots left in and raking down the foot / ankle’. It’s the way it is. Very rarely coverage isn’t pretty much a parody and that was certainly the case in this game.

I thought Spain got away with a lot of 'physical' challenges, especially first half when they were dominating, it's why they won most of the conditions balls imo.
Whatever, the best team won, football is more than just pretty tactics and skill.

So I 100% agree with the last line. Disagree with the first part. Spain dominated because they were allowed to and they’re better technically. They missed chances, compounded that by bringing on a hopeless centre forward and then didn’t like getting booted around the park a bit. I suspect they’ll learn from that - but then it’s not always been the case with the Men’s team which maybe means it’s just not that easy.
