Live Match Discussion 2025/26

Yeah.

I mean I get it to an extent that you'd be bent out of shape by losing your number to a new signing. But it's fucking Ronaldo :D

Who'd just had one of the all time great individual seasons (press mute unless you like unspeakably awful music)

I feel like i saw a lot of those goals on Sky's coverage through Telewest cable on a tiny TV in my bedroom whilst playing Championship Manager, with Ballague in the studio.

Simple times, and also nearly thirty bloody years ago.

96/97 Barça have a shout for being one of the best teams to not win the league

----------------------Baia---------------------

Ferrer----------Nadal-------Couto------Sergi

Figo-----------Guardiola-----Popescu-----Enrique

-----------------Ronaldo---Stoichkov-----------

The likes of Abelardo, Blanc, Amor, Bakero, Pizzi, Giovanni, de la Pena, Amor and Prosinecki in the squad too.

As well as Julen de Burgh (didn't play a single minute)

Loved that team, the spine is legendary and that front two is terrifying.

Obviously it's hilarious Forest fans singing 'sacked in the morning' but fucking hell, some football fans are so over entitled.

Fck em. They’re way overexposed due to a bunch of journos being Notts based. Wolves didn’t get half of this coverage when doing more and going further. They can bugger off and take their Aussie Lage and allotment shed of a stand with them.

Oh I agree with all that but my point was it's not just Forest fans but a lot of teams fans in the Premier league seem to think they should be challenging for honours and get snotty when it doesn't happen.

Marinakis embodies their complete arrogance.
Grassing on Palace to UEFA and making it public.
Questioning referee integrity.
Breaching FFP.
Arguing with managers on the pitch.
Banning Gary Neville because he didn’t like what he said.
Adrian Durham would’ve been banned 10x over for the some of personal crap he’s thrown at us.
Nuno is by far the most skilled manager they’ve had there in years and they thought they’re were to good for him.

I think that’s partly because they were genuinely in with a chance of qualifying for the Champions League last season. Throw in an owner who is always going to give journalists stories and it’s understandable. I suspect we’re particularly aware of anything concerning Forest because of the Nuno link. Makes their drop off all the more enjoyable.

You’re likely right, I’m attentive to them more than others because of Nuno. Nonetheless, we too were genuinely in with a chance of CL qualification. Wolves mainstream media coverage under indexes due to… fewer sympathetic journalists and a trickier narrative to package up?

I was wondering that. Perhaps he hasn't managed to assemble the usuals and these are some existing West Ham staff
New West Ham head coach Nuno Espirito Santo expects to have his backroom staff in place before the end of the October international break.

However, while negotiations are ongoing, there are unlikely to be any appointments made before Saturday’s game away to Arsenal.
Nuno, who has only been in the job for five days, worked alongside Mark Robson, Gerard Prenderville, Billy Lepine and Steve Potts in the dugout during the 1-1 draw with Everton on Monday night.

The four West Ham academy coaches stepped in to assist the Portuguese in his first game in charge, but he is expected to bring in his own backroom staff over the coming weeks.

Negotiations to bring Nuno to West Ham were swift, particularly given that the club wanted someone in place before their game against Everton.

West Ham will use the international break to fill those coaching vacancies, with Graham Potter’s entire backroom team having left the club. Though there is no rush to bring people in, with Nuno working well alongside Robson, Prenderville, Lepine and Potts.

Work on the training ground during Nuno’s first few days in charge has focused on building solidity and structure after a disastrous start to the new campaign.

Both been deflections but Darlow has been poor for these goals. Gambling on the direction of each and then zero ability to readjust or react.
