Lost in the criticisms of the goals is that Joao Gomes has been pretty poor. He's given the ball away loads and Reijnders absolutely abused him on the build up to the first goal.

He got done for their first but I thought he’d been everywhere before that. We do ask a lot of him and Andre.

He doesn’t look like a player that’s going to bomb on and create stuff for us, but going back the other way he backs off like Berra. As I say, very early days, but “beige” is the perfect description of him.
