Olympiacos 1-1 Wolves Verdict Thread

At most I have a look and a couple of posts at half time.

You can carry on calling our players shit outside of that as I won't see it.

And there you go again. Whoosh!

We KNOW they are not shit. So when they play shit we call it. If you can't cope with that then you're better off not commenting.

Eg. Raul was shit tonight. Did very little to hold to ball or pass effectively until Neto came on. Traore was shit tonight. Couldn't cross a road and his usual strength wasn't there.

Neither player is shit. Both are fantastic and a priveledge to watch. But they aren't perfect and I reserve the right to moan when a 50+k a week footballer has a stinker.

You lot call them shit every single game though.

No-one is even claiming we played well tonight. We didn't.

I'll comment on what I like thanks, our fans are shit.

I think that'll be the last performance good, bad or indifferent we'll see for a number of weeks.

I give up. You have entrenched yourself in an opinion that you are now seeing only what you want to.

I am off to look at porn. Its more productive.

Perhaps try that next time we end up playing (doubt it will be Sunday).

Miss the game, look at the score and then watch the game back. Because the posts are genuinely embarrassing, not just you but as a whole. No context, no concept of how far we've come, no credit in the bank for anyone, no sense of reality (apparently no-one is ever allowed to play well against us), it's very, very poor.

The complete lack of gratitude towards this group and the management staff is abhorrent. Now you're allowed to take issue with me thinking that people posting that need to cop on a bit, but I don't care about that, I'll take that all day. I think the threads on here are scandalous at times.

Sorry you feel that way. But I'm not having the best manager and best squad this club has had in at least 40 years, probably longer, be talked about like that constantly as it fucks me right off.

If it helps Raul Jimenez is at very least equal with Bully in terms of who I've seen and he was rubbish tonight. I don't need to give him a round of fucks every time he loses the ball though. I certainly don't need to be denigrating the kind of result we got tonight, we also played pretty much as I would have expected.

it was a surreal atmos we walk away level with an away goal rejoice,
better than hoping steve corica would finally have a good game against reading or summat

Yep!

Maybe it was because Man U had just won 5-0, maybe because we didn't play well, maybe because they were down to 10 men for much of the game, maybe a lot of other factors, but 1-1 was disappointing. I totally get that 1 each away from home against Olympiacos is a good result, but the performance was not great.

Agree that Raul and Joao may have hit the wall. They cannot be accustomed to two games almost every week, and IIRC Rauls form dropped off towards the end of last season (someone will tell me I am wrong).

Adama is still a conundrum. We rarely have enough bodies in the box for his crosses, his low crosses/passes can be very inaccurate, and when he cuts inside his decision making and shooting can be terrible. But he is still our biggest threat, needs at least two defenders to mark him, and gives the fans something to cheer.

Part of the problem is the old 352 v 343 question. I feel that Jota is more suited to being part of a front 2 rather than 3, and if we cannot get the most from Adama, should we try 3412? It would be great if Adama could play behind the front 2 but there is no evidence he would master the role. Neto can play there, but the biggest question for me is Podence. I'm sure we did not sell him on being 5th choice forward so why did we want him and why did he come? It's almost as though someone (Traore) will not be here next season.

Poor game overall, but good result. Forget the red card, we'd all have been happy with 1-1 before KO (I think?!).

Playing against 10 men doesn't give you some divine right to win. I mean, I understand that expectation levels rise, but surely you've all watched enough football to know it doesn't always work out that way for myriad reasons. Often not a lot changes in terms of the defensive formation and work-rate you are up against. It doesn't get any easier unless the opposition somehow forget to fill the gap a sent-off defender left behind and leave a couple of people up top.

Did we play well? Not really. We've looked a little off for the last couple of games, for sure. But, man, we're still really good. We're still in a position in both PL and EL that blows my mind compared to what we're all used to, and I'm just enjoying it all for what it is. If anyone finds themselves getting super-pissy at the team or Nuno or whoever for not automatically humping any team below 12th in the PL, or an experienced team in Europe down to 10 men at home, you just need to take a little step back and reign in your expectations a bit. Your stress levels will defo drop!

Very much this sir.

Forget Corona, I'm more worried about this hangover I've got. So bad it might actually be contagious. Cypro is some serious shit.

Cannot forget the cream soda it was rank !!!

Didn't play at all well but 1-1 is a decent result. Olympiakos - if the game ever gets played - will need to come out and attack us, so that should play into our hands. One random point - I was impressed with their goalie. I've seen him rumoured as the eventual replacement for Rui two or three times, and that would be absolutely fine by me on last night's showing
