****POLL NOW IN OP****Who do you want next?

Pure conjecture, but do things like Adama stalling on a contract until now and strong links to Vinicius suggest we've already chosen our manager.

I don't understand why Adama contract talks would start being more positive just at the time Nuno leaves
Because he’s playing well, justifying his higher salary and our bargaining position is weaker becuase of injuries and a reliance.

Traore thought he was one of the most valuable members of the squad. He wants to be on Neves/Moutinho money. Not 40-60k. We may be deciding to up our offer now for the reasons I stated above.

I'd be happy with Potter - Infogol did a really good post the other week on Brighton's xG and how they'd be 5th or 6th with more competent strikers.
Opinions seem mixed on Lage - Fonseca is probably my choice of Portuguese managers, assuming Amorim is unavailable

Amorim is available if you pay the release clause. This is a crossroads. We have to be decisive and get him whatever the cost.

I know it sounds silly, but I didn't want to talk about it in the farewell thread.

Simple question - who next?

I'm all aboard the Graham Potter Express. He plays the kind of football I love to see. If his Brighton team had Neto and Raul I think they'd be top 7 - I think he could get a really high performing, entertaining tune out of a playing staff and budget that we can offer.

Genuine apologies if people think this is crass and in poor taste.

I'll set up a poll of the top options tomorrow
Yes to Graham Potter if he would come here

Would he come? Champions League next year with Sporting.

Normally if the moneys right...

Rodgers left Celtic to join Leicester when they were going to win the league and Leicester were midtable.

We would have to offer a lot of guarantees in terms of ambitions. I think paying his whopping release would be a huge statement of intent and it would be followed by a serious serious spend in the window. It’s my dream scenario. Unlikely obviously.

Sorry guys about Eddie Howe, i just aint thinking straight at the moment. Graham Potter then, as for foreign managers, i aint got a clue. Although i have always liked that guy with the black suit shirt and tie, cant think of his name though.

We will find out if it was a sacking in the next 72 hours. If a new Manager is introduced by then , it is a sacking. (i hope not ). Look how long it took Chelsea to get Tuchel in after Lampards departure. 24 hours. Same as Bilic at the Wankers, next day Allardyce was there, for what good it was.

Bruno Lage would be complete disaster and probably wouldn’t survive until the second international break.

As I said on the other thread that would prove it had been in motion for some time. It would say absolutely nothing about the instigator.

Fonseca or Gerrard for me.

A big no to Eddie Howe.

At least we wont have Mouriniho, thankfully hes installed at Roma. If he wasnt, i would be worried. He really is what you call an Arrogant Bastard.
