Pre-season 25-26

We're getting the ball into their 3rd regularly, that's not 'offering nothing'.
Fair enough, mate. I'm not going to argue with you. I don't think we've had a shot on target. That's what I would consider offering something.

Larsen has had a shot on target. Not having shots on target ≠ offering nothing though.

Dominating against a very good team and coach, very happy with that first 30. Next 15 will be interesting after both coaches have had a chance to make changes at the drinks break.

We just seem a bit toothless, is all. Appreciate pre season/fitness etc etc etc.

Pretty solid half against a good team. The midfield 2 look sharp

First time I've seen Lopez. Has turned quickly a couple of times and looked dangerous . Looks a little one-footed, though - been using the outside of his left a lot.

Sa doing some captain's shouting before that 22 man melee, "Hey Hey Hey! Oh! Oh! Oh!"
Impressive. Sasa warming up. Be interesting to see how he performs.

Half time 0-0. Obviously taking in to account it's a glorified fitness exercise - but I'm not seeing what others are. We keep the ball well and are generally neat and tidy - but these are Premier League footballers so keeping possession in this sort of match is the least we should be expecting. We look completely toothless going forward. Fer looks skilful, but extremely one footed. Marshall offers nothing apart from running, as we know. And it looks like JSL enjoyed his summer holidays because he looks like he's starting this pre-season from 0 on the fitness front compared to others - sluggish would be polite.

It would be nice to see Jhon get some minutes and to see if he can give us some cutting edge going forward. Even Bellegarde might offer us something. That said, as we know, the squad overall is miles off. Joao Gomes the best player on the pitch by some distance. We'll probably overplay him this pre-season because of lack of depth in the squad, but he's everywhere again.

Be nice to see Yerson get some minutes - not that Santi has done anything wrong, as such - but just because we know he's not good enough.

Agbadou especially at the back is very slow to get the ball away and I think every one of his 8 touches from just outside the penalty area has gone short sideways or backwards...

The problem are F. Lima.

He have speed and conditions to play but, how recibe 10 times the ball up, full free, and fail all actions pass/center.

And don't understand by Victor Pereira put Muntesi up and R.Gomes down. Muntesi in decenber out of necessity played on that position, but in pre-seasson for me not is a good idea he is CM.

Larsen need balls and centers on area.

But Girona its a good team,

0-1.

Along with looking toothless going forward, we look really suspect at the back 😬
