Tbf I get the sense Vitor is closer to Nuno in pre season terms, whereas under Lage and O’Neil - two under qualified wankers - we looked quite good in friendlies

Actually I'd much rather results didn't paper over the fact that once you change our first XI (and even that isn't perfect), the dropoff is huge.

For those of you not watching, (as usual I'm about 2 minutes behind the play, but Rocca hit that about 22 yardss out and it curved high and down just inside the far post, with Johnstone not quite getting to it. Lovely goal. Might not be to blame but as he hit that Beuno was just about to tackle him.. Just but not quite.

Girona with 60% possession this half (which is where we were at in the first half), except giving us a lesson in how to actually make that count and they find themselves 2-0 up. Which was exactly my point when I said we were offering nothing.

Really, really worried about this season. More so than any other season in recent history. We’re toothless going forward, ropey at the back and besides our starting 11, have absolutely zero squad depth of genuine quality.
