I quite like most of the starting XI in fairness.

Other than Saša and Rodrigo I would never really want to bring any of those subs on in a PL game.

The back line is the very obvious issue, despite what you said I know you'd happily replace 4 of the 5.

I'm also realistic enough to know that we won't sign 4 first team defenders in a month (and hopefully we have Yerson back after the first international break)

I don't know what situation exists where I'd think he's what we need to change the game or solidify our position. I forget he's playing half the time.

2.5 of the 5 today are fine, IMO. Doc being the 0.5.

Hoever and Bueno may have grown significantly last season on their loans, but for now those wingback positions are the obvious weak points. Having a #6 like André should hopefully cover for that a bit (again, though, we really should be getting in two FBs/WBs who are far less of a gamble than Ki-Jana and Hugo).

Nuno would bring on Saiss in midfield for a time to help us hold onto a lead. Munetsi cannot do that job.

He has a mighty 2 goals from about 20 presentable chances so I don't really want him being the man on the end of a chance if we're 1-0 down at home to some shitbeaks either.

I'd quite like to see a bit of Mane but it's more in hope than anything.

It's not just about how many goals he scores himself. If you've got a player on who doesn't have the legs or desire to break into the box in the last minute then there's one less player in the box and the team as a whole is statistically less likely to score.

You need a pressing and overlapping runner sometimes to allow for creative players to thrive. If you can't see that Munetsi's presence last season allowed Strand Larsen more space to thrive I don't know what to say.

I'm hopeful that Arias brings some of what Munetsi brought last season with the added benefit of being able to control a football without falling over and López seems like a very hard working player as well, hopefully we sign another of a similar profile to that on the other side to complete with Bellegarde and Munetsi's minutes are naturally limited.

We obviously need to get to a stage where he isn't on the pitch for 90 minutes every single game but he can be useful.

Probably my favourite Wolves player of all time. We've a decent record of bringing in defenders from Ligue 1 clubs, maybe Hoever can keep up the habit?
