Pre-season 25-26

I know pre-season is pre-season and it's really for getting fitness levels up, but bloody hell we are not very good.

And replace him with… it would have to be Munetsi in CM as we have literally no other options after sending them all out on loan and not signing anyone.

Squads got relegation written all over it at the moment.
You're right, but it's a "friendly " so being so limited in that position, sod it. What are we learning? Just that we need reinforcements.

Need that wb left and right.

I think need other defender more better in the passes to the position of Doc.

And one player to play in Guedes position if he exit.

Its pre-seasson, 2 game, need time to confort. I view Fer a bit nervous, and failing things easy to he. Need time to adapt to the team. But he have more quality and speed of this two first games. But in this two first games he are close to score two times.

Shape, application and fitness levels all look good for this stage of pre season. Fer López looks good.

Need more quality at both wing back positions, left 10 and there's an obvious issue once André & J.Gomes get subbed off.

Am I naive for thinking they won't leave Munetsi/Bellegarde as the only CM backups?

I don't think VP sees either as CMs. Munetsi played almost like a "second striker" (for want of a better term) last season, and per @Lycan (I think), VP doesn't see Jean as CM, either.

The Jean piece baffles me; that's clearly his best position IMO. For Marshall, even as one of his defenders, I can't imagine him playing the same role as João and being particularly successful at it.

Bellegarde playing really well. I don’t think playing him on the left of a front three is a long term option, though - as teams will soon work out he’s always going to cut back on to his right.

Nice goal from Lens. In all honesty, that should be 0-2 after they missed the earlier open goal.

And that’s the issue with Hugo B. Didn’t follow the runner, got in behind and then a lovely ball in and a nice finish (although Bentley beaten at the near post 🤪)

Lima, Santi Bueno, Munetsi, Chirewa, Guedes & Hwang on.
