Christ, she was actually voted in as Mayor?

The next election is going to be horribly depressing.

Only hope is that the longer they're mainstram and in actual positions to govern local authorities, that they'll do enough damage to themselves (and unfortunately people too) that they lose the protest votes and just get stuck with their UKIPy core cunts

For all the rich people leaving the UK because of Labour.

I wonder how "normal" people would if Reform win the next GE?

And this is a protest vote against a Labour party far to the right of many people on here.

Keep standing still and being aghast at Reform's crassness without thinking, and offering a strong, realistic and down to earth alternative and it will lead us pretty much into a UK equivalent of what the States have got

Exactly.

No coherent argument or answer to the questions the right make will result in them winning the next GE.

Thankfully Labour holds its seat in Burton On Trent.

I think some of them you'll never win over, but can't give up on the whole lot. Fuck knows what the answer is though

As said, perhaps now Reform have the responsibility of running council budgets the focus will adjust from being purely about "small boats".

Hopefully. The issue is the major parties will now try and chase those votes which will mean they all trend towards a more right wing ethos.
The thought that we might end up with a Donald Trump tribute band in charge of our country is pretty scarey.

Going to get an insight into Reform in the councils they run

- Diversity & Equality programmes going
- Climate change programmes to be axed
- Obviously binning working from home.

Thankfully Shropshire, despite electing 17 Reform councillors has gone to the Lib Dems.
Tory vote utterly collapsed. Had 38 seats, now have 7
Labour lost 5 seats but only had 9 to start with. They now are equal with the Greens on the council.
