Vitor Presser -

- No injuries. "headache" for him, but in a good way.

- asked about playing 4 at the back - said "Tottenham are a different challenge" and said it's good that we have a couple of ways we can play. Which hints at a move back to the back 5.

- JSL still not in 100% condition to play 90 minutes so time will be managed. Tolu scored a "beautiful goal" but is still working on his physical condition.

- questioned about Sam Johnstone. Vitor said he is "doing good work". Vitor said the squad is "more balanced than last season" and believes he now has "two players for every position". Likes that Johnstone is pushing Sa for the shirt.

- said he is "concerned" when looking at the league table and "don't like being in this position. This is the first time I have been in this position in my career". But said he understands why we are where we are. Players arriving late in the window etc, but connections are being built, different dynamics, different movements etc on the pitch. We should start to build from here.

- appreciates Spurs are a good team but prefers to look at ourselves and believes we can compete. We go to try and win.

- says he is not a coach with "fixed ideas". is open to change and analysis - open to change in system. Whatever it takes to win games and points. Feels like we are now starting our season as everyone is working together.

Good that Andre is ok (if hes not bullshitting).
Means Krejci can hopefully play in the back line.

I'll be a bit grumpy if he plays 5 at the back! Mainly because I'm not sure we have 3 centre backs who are playing well enough at the moment.
5atb is meant to make you more solid, but it hasn’t for us this year. Players don’t seem sure who should be picking up, marking space etc.

I’d be going 4 at the back

Problem is with a 4 - who's going at RB?

Mosquera - has played there, it's a bit Pulis though
Tchatchoua - looks shite
Hoever - is shite
R Gomes - jury is out on whether he's a wing back, 100% not a full back
Doherty - has always been awful in that role, even in L1

Doc was decent there on Tuesday (sorry). However Spurs in the league is not Everton in the league cup so I'd be nervous with him there.
Mosquera might not be a bad shout in a 4, it also allows us to shift over to a 3 atb when under pressure.
Maybe..............Johnstone
Mosquera.....Santi*.......Krejci......Hugo.

For me the main issue with 4 atb is who goes into midfield with Gpmes and Andre?

Pep was playing 4 CBs at one stage!

You basically go Yerson at RCB and have a bit of a flexible shape during the game that moves between a back 4 and 5
This. With the players we’ve got our full/wing backs aren’t going to be the creative ones or the ones to get us up the pitch. We don’t how those players now (know very little about Jackson) - another reason why we need another body in the middle/further forward.

Playing the 4 allows that.

They can be flexible too. There will be times if we sit in it can revert to a 5 etc with Mosq tucking in and Rodrigo for example going to RWB. Dependent on the team selected

4231/442

Arias + another (would play Lopes if we were going to have more of the ball, but maybe munetsi for off the ball work from the start this weekend.

JSL and Tolu up top, one can drop in now and again, like JSL I’d imagine
