Brilliant knock by Bairstow, ton off 95 balls

Overton and Bairstow now hold the record for 7th wicket partnership for England in Tests, which now moves past 200

Since Bairstow came to the crease second innings at Trent Bridge he has scored 250 in 197 balls (athough that is slightly out of date now but you get the picture).

YJB has cramp, don't get that very often in an English Test, especially when it's about 20 degrees

We're in danger of getting a lead with this innings, we were 55-6 ffs!

That’s some recovery partnership by Bairstow and Overton of 209

End of play and England are 264/6

Looking forward to tomorrow and Sunday now.

Was a bit worried that play would be over by lunch tomorrow at one point!

All three bowled and the getting bowled specialist Bairstow walks to the wicket.
Aged well.

We’ll batted again Jonny. More test runs than Root this year and only Khawaja ahead of him.

Sky brilliantly sum up Baz ball by closing the days coverage with the Ace of Spades :ROFLMAO:

I think it is. We will have the occasional fuck up where we are skittled but this batting line up was doing that anyway and with great regularity.

To have both Baz and Ben say “we don’t do draws” is so immensely refreshing.

I hope so mate, either way we are in for a wild ride.

County T20 has really evolved. 160 used to be par on a decent track, that's now 200+ and so many players who don't get a game in the Championship are brilliant in it. Adam Hose has been top notch and has a century tonight and doesn't even make the CC 14. At best 5 of the team that are playing tonight will do so in the Championship on Sunday. At least at the Test Match ground sides with the budget it's now becoming 3 teams, CC, T20, and 50 over.

No real point to the post other than how the game is evolving and Adam Hose who plays the short game at County level and may get gigs in other countries will earn substantially more in his career than Matt Lamb who is having a very good season in the Championship but probably won't play for England or be wanted elsewhere
