That reason isn't because the Premier League is operated the same as Sunday League.Exactly, that's the problem. There's a reason football is more popular than the rest by a huge margin.

Obviously. That reason isn't because the Premier League is operated the same as Sunday League.
To be honest mate it's not something I've given loads of thought to, it's just a general sense I get and it might just be down to me getting older and less inclined to be open to change in general. How are viewing figures stacking up since VAR was introduced? Doesn't feel like it's an less popular to me, just provides something else for people to whinge avout.
Didn't Patricio get injured on an obvious one last season? Liverpool? They need to tidy up the "delay" thing anyway - there was one at the very end of Chelsea vs Man Utd yesterday where Ronaldo was a good yard offside, the lino let it go as per instruction, Ronaldo doesn't shoot and it goes out for a corner which should never have existed. Can open, worms everywhere if United score a winner off that with seconds to go.
As well as the potential for players getting injured in situations that shouldn't even occur (wasn't van Dijk last season along those lines?). No problem with them not showing a premature flag where there's reasonable doubt - remember Jota at Bournemouth a couple of years ago, VAR was in operation and we still got robbed of a valid goal due to crappy officials - but it was obvious in that instance yesterday that it wasn't even close, and even so, they should have the common sense to say "no, you can't have a corner off that".
Ah yes, right at the end. Ruddy with a heroic clean sheet when he came onDidn't Patricio get injured on an obvious on last season? Liverpool?
That was absolutely fucking ludicrous. Even Tyler forgot his bias for a split second. I just don't get how incompetent the officials are now, linesman didn't flag because of stupid rules even though the offside was plain as day, but because the player didn't shoot VAR doesn't get involved and because there was no flag the advantage goes to the side getting the unfair advantage... The game's gone fucking mental. They need to tidy up the "delay" thing anyway - there was one at the very end of Chelsea vs Man Utd yesterday where Ronaldo was a good yard offside, the lino let it go as per instruction, Ronaldo doesn't shoot and it goes out for a corner which should never have existed. Oh yeah 100%, VAR didn't even get involved as there was no shot. If anything the ref should have overruled them all as there's no way he didn't see the offside. The linesman is supposed to flag when the chance goes. It's incompetent from him rather than VAR...and I fucking hate VAR!
