The Manager Sacked/Hired Thread 2022/23

Another manager past his best, vastly overhyped for the job he did at Newcastle spent most of his time blaming Ashley for bad results and taking all the praise when he won.
Just a bizarre decision to go to Everton was on a hiding to nothing especially considering their dreadful transfer business over the past 5 years.

Rooney is doing an exceptional job at Derby this season, but it's with a Fergie us against the world mentality, getting veterans to buy in and kids to look up to him. It'd be a mistake for Everton to go there

They were bang average to shit before the points deduction.

Everyone knew it was going to be 21 points before the season started, but that's my point, he's galvanised them in a unique situation he isn't going to repeat that at Everton and its supposedly Rosenior who is the brains of the operation

Rooney has really surprised me. He's got a centre back pairing that is over 70 years old, a few other journeymen plus some youngsters and he's got them playing like they are going for promotion, not trying to stay up against all the odds. I'm actually looking out for their results since watching their battling performance against West Brom and hope they can do it.

Maybe it is Rosenior who is the brains of the operation, in which case Rooney needs to keep him close. Ince looked quite good for a while before jettisoning his assistant Ray Matthias. In Ince's case it isn't hard to believe someone else was the brains!

I think the pressure being off helps that. They are playing with a lot of freedom. I believe he's fairly close to walking, I hear he was throwing tables around yesterday when they lost Jagielka. I don't think an Everton offer will lead to much thinking

Rooney 11/10 favourite for the job. Madness. He's done a surprisingly good job at Derby but it's hard to see him doing well at Everton. That said they've tried the experienced manager approach and that was pretty disastrous.

You just know if Derby stay up the EFL will give them a points deduction for their floodlights being too bright or the players tunnel not being the regulation width.

Everton in questionable decision shocker.

I read this story every year.

Couple of Everton fans I know want Duncan Ferguson as he's a true evertonian with the best interests of the club in him

Knowing the Everton DNA should give you all the info you need to raze it to the ground and start again.

Paddy power putting pictures up of Ole telling Everton to make it happen, also saying Liverpool have organised an open top bus tour for Rafa to celebrate a job done well at Everton.

That would be hilarious.
