Not saying he's secretly a genius, just pointing out that he's been against a stacked deck in the past. Not that I would anticipate that changing at Leeds.

The likes of Pulis, Bruce, Pardew, Hughton, Warnock and Holloway have far better PL records than he does. None of them will ever trouble that level again, in fact three of them are basically finished for good.

There's dealing with a bit of a tough gig and being associated with a fairly rubbish record, and there's being an out and out catastrophe.

Farke does have some talents, think he did a decent rebuilding job at Norwich to initially get them up, but even they eventually thought he wasn't good enough where there was a lot of goodwill. Plus, they are right weirdos who don't even seem to mind getting relegated as long as they play 'well'. So being binned for Dean Smith says they didn't rate him as all that.

IMO he should be getting that Leeds side promoted, they have the best squad. He should have last year too and failed, then lost to Southampton in the playoffs. He is a bit lucky to have had this second season to correct things.
