The Manager Sacked/Hired Thread 2024/25

I do think one of Fulham, Palace, Wolves, Brentford or Bournemouth will go down next year and it'll be the one with a Summer upheaval they make a mess of overcoming. The 3 promoted teams (probably) can't go down every season and it sounds like Leeds will be throwing some money around.

I only put Wolves in there because of the Shi factor

Everton are as likely as anyone to make a mess of things...although they seem to have some kind of relegation immunity

There's that, the new ownership supposedly providing a decent transfer budget, the new stadium factor and Moyes' savvy that means I don't put them in that category

As long as they don't sack Moyes and buy 27 number 10s then i would agree...but with everton the chance is never 0!

Brazil confirm appointment of Carlo Ancelotti

Madrid to confirm appointment of Alonso?
All done basically. Want him in charge for the World Club shit.

Carlos will officially leave Madrid after their final game of the season

Sean Dyche on 5live. If you look at the underlying stats Moyesy isn't doing any better than us, he's just got them putting the ball in the net.
He's everywhere at the moment being a right cocky weirdo. I get the feeling he knows his PL career is over.

People said I can't manage at a big club, I proved at Everton I can

Thing is his Burnley teams didn't used to be that reductive. They were limited but he was pretty switched on tactically.

Descended into parody now, like Fat Sam increasingly did after Bolton.

Dyche's Everton actively tried not to score goals, they were an appalling watch.

A bit like his recent interview where he said that if they'd have won more games his record would have looked better

I listened to him on "Stick to Football" earlier, he was quite self deprecating and described himself as a dinosaur.

He came across ok, well - he improved my opinion of him, which was pretty low.

I don't mind him as a bloke whenever I hear him, just don't want him as our manager

I listened to a bit of the fivelive commentary. If ever a blokes voice isn’t fit for radio, it’s his.
