The Summer 2025 Transfer Window Thread

There's a chance that we may have a replacement for Semedo on a lower salary. What exactly is the problem here?
The problem is we have a fixed view on the potential replacement as we have watched him play for us.
He has had some shit loans as well.

Sounds like he did well (c) Dino, last season but it would be a surprise if Vitor put him ahead of his own targets. You never know though but don't expect anything close to a positive reaction if we start the season with him as a starter

I just think it would be foolish to write him off, based upon a lot of the feedback from last season. I think Ait Nori is the more pressing replacement.

'We need wingers, We need at least two more players up front. We need another midfielder, I don’t know if we also need a player in the back, a left-footed player, which is also important, because we’re always a little bit closer to Toti, because if Toti gets injured, we’ll have no one'

When he says 'wingers' he means wing backs. It might mean he wants signings on both sides with Bueno & Gomes as competition.

I assume Arias is one of those '2 up front'.

So 4 more after Arias, maybe 5 if we sign a CB.

I'll admit I'm not an expert on Arias, but from what I have seen in the CWC and Libertadores, he looks capable of playing anywhere between the #9 and #6 (not including those two roles).

Oh, haven't seen our legal requirement to post this fulfilled yet:

Something less quantifiable; his balance under pressure is absolutely absurd. At times he seems like he's got Adama's strength packed into half the size.

Maybe. IMO we’re doing a much better version of swinging the 5 man defense into a 4; I don’t think that it’s too far of a reach to think that Vítor would do something like:

LW - CB - CB - CB/RB - RB/RWB
-or-
LB/LWB - CB/LB - CB - CB - RW
Depending which side of the opposition we feel is more vulnerable.

I think it would be more foolish to replace our captain in a pivotal role with a vastly inferior, nothing player.

He's being written off because he's been here five years and he's crap, and the only reason we'd ever play him in the PL 25/6 season is out of desperation/recruitment failure
