The Summer 2025 Transfer Window Thread

@Squeak out of interest, what do you think in the 80's they would have called a white person who tries to emulate or acquire cultural behaviour and tastes attributed to black people?

Just another leak
Yup. You know there would. Some folks are never satisfied. Nuno had us to 7th twice, missed 6th by a goal, an FA Cup semi and Europe and still some folks wanted him sacked because the football wasn't pretty enough or in their perception, we'd reached our limit under him.

Some MUFC fans wanted Ferguson sacked, Arsenal fans wanted Wenger gone... it's football. Fans always have all the answers until they don't.

Some folks also can't accept that football transfers are big business these days and just don't happen overnight. Ideally you want all your new players in and bedded down before the season starts. it just doesn't happen like that anymore. We purchased players in January who immediately improved the team, yet we are being led to believe by some on here, that can't happen because we have to have them in before the season starts.
This is just being wise and noble after something has happened.

Personally I think anyone using the term "folks" is worthy of a permanent ban...

But moving on...I know nothing about this guy but I'm already confident that he'll be light years ahead of the others in his position!

I really hope there's more to come as we need it.

This place is ace.

Don't sign anyone and the arguments break out.

Don't even get linked to anyone and the arguments break out.

Get a (seemingly) genuine link to a player who appears to be the right age for a position we're desperate to strengthen for a low fee and the arguments break out.

I think we could win the Champions League and there'd still be a squabble somewhere on here.
Imagine if we won the champions league with doc as a starter!

I don't know anything about this guy but a signing is very welcome at this stage. Seems to have a good profile and a reasonable price, Vítor clearly wants a bit of height at wing back, Pubill was over 6 foot as well.

If we had managed to get Pubill over the line I think I'd be content with our business so far, as I've said before I'm happy with the business we have done, I'm just worried about the timing and how much work we still have to do.

RWB, CM, LW, LCB, GK still to go at a minimum and we could still sell guys like Hwang & Guedes.

Whilst I get what you’re saying to an extent, there has to be a happy medium, somewhere?

Yes, to expect all business to be done by 1st July is silly, or even mid July, but to be 2 weeks out from first game of season, with both our first choice wing backs gone and not replaced, with very few links, you can surely understand the sceptics. Added the past history of discontent due to last few seasons.

There can be some middle ground.

That being said, hopefully Wolfe signs and ‘does well’
