The Summer 2025 Transfer Window Thread

The fuck is your issue?

Parkinson is a hoofball merchant who will always play an experienced player over a kid on loan. Why has that got you so worked up.
And just to add weight to this they’ve signed Kieffer Moore.

If this is true I'd suggest that we'd have to see movement on this in the next few days if this is going to happen at all. If not he's waiting out for someone else.
Could be a very good few days. Even though it was tongue in cheek, when Wolfe was saying about the project, you’d imagine he’d been given assurances or an idea of signings would be coming

If Mosquera isn’t fit (or if he’s had a setback even) I’d quite like another centre back
I'll say it until Yerson proves me wrong; I think we have to behave as if he'll never be the player we expected him to be pre-injury. He's too aggressive to afford losing a step, IMO.

I really want him to prove me wrong. Catastrophic knee injuries can have irrevocable effects, though.

Poor Sociedad.

Imagine training and playing with Guedes while watching Alexander Isak on the next pitch over.

Ought to be a breach of the Geneva Convention.

Sa isn't perfect but much prefer him to stay than what could happen if we let him go.

Biggest priority in the keepers camp is upgrading the back up slot. Generally a tough area to fill but we have somehow ended up with a collection of L2 keepers behind Sa.

Ideally we go and get someone to be ready to step up next summer.

In an ideal world whoever we get in to replace Johnstone will be good enough to compete with Sá anyway. No point signing them if they aren't that good at least.

They should be but the best bet is going to be a younger keeper who is prepared to start off as 2nd choice.

We saw how Sa was last year when he was instantly made 2nd choice despite GO claiming it was an open battle. He stropped big time and that performance v Brighton was shameful. All part of GO losing control of his team.
Could do without a similar situation this time around but would expect Vitor to be a bit more open and honest on the situation if it happened

In an ideal world we are looking for a better goalkeeper, but agree this season it may not be the priority

Not very good home grown goalkeepers have value in our squad at the moment. As it stands, better than Sa is more preferable than better than Bentley.

Roughly translated as:

“We’ve dragged our feet horrifically, shown no urgency in the window, and now we’ve got too much to do as well as looking for a new goalkeeper, so he’s not for sale unless we can have your pants down”.

Go buy a backup because Bentley is shite. Cheers.
Dont think Vitor has keeper as a priority so it's more a we dont want to sell, so here is an ott price to make you fook off.

Hopefully the games so far have convinced him a back up is needed though. Have a feeling if one arrives it won't be until the very end of the window though.
