The Summer 2025 Transfer Window Thread

Hahahahaha. Our best player’s going to Man Utd and we have to trust Wolves to find an adequate replacement. Hahahahahaha. What a moron he, uhm, I… er… hang on.

Don't take Wolves social media as a barometer of anything.

There were still Lage truthers knocking around more than a year after he left, and he is one of the worst managers I have ever seen.

We did manage to find Cunha in the first place, so it’s possible, if highly unlikely.

Jeff leaking things to LL again now that the Semedo photo has been leaked…

He was our record signing (in fact, still is), signed from one of the top dozen or so clubs in Europe. There wasn't much hidden gem seeking going on.

Who said anything about hidden gems?

My point is just that it’s not like we’ve whiffed on every transfer. I don’t expect it to play out that way, but we’ve managed it before, whoever at the club made it happen.

Ok, well we aren't going to spend that kind of money on one player to "replace" him (we can't anyway).

Also, Cunha wasn't a massive success in his first half season. He wasn't the ideal signing for a team in danger of relegation
2 goals and only started 12 out of a possible 20 league games.

In fact people were openly wondering if we'd massively overpaid for quite a long time, a far way into Gary O'Coyle's season too.

It's almost like writing someone off after joining midway through a season is a bad idea 👀
There's always an exception to the rule

Hutchinson has 3 goals and 2 assists in 30 appearances (2504 mins}. Not a lot really. Can play anywhere across midfield behind the striker though. Mostly centrally and off the right.
