Playing devils advocate here, but why was Ince seen as a bad guy for stringing us along, but Semedo isn't?

Is it because it's July? Might that change in a few days or a week?

The belief true or not is Ince told us for 2 years he was signing...went away, extended his pre season, then signed and was a tad unfit. Someone with a better memory will no doubt correct me though.

Nelson has probably multiple offers. We have put 1 his way. If we are hanging around waiting, then shit from us rather than Nelson stringing us along.

He is able to talk to anyone since January though and hes known since April 20th that we aren't going down.

I was more relating to offering him a contract in January. He wouldn’t have signed it until say April, as you say. If it was offered ofcourse.

I don’t see the issue with no offering him once then, there would’ve been tentative discussions I’m sure. The issue is now if he doesn’t rock up for pre season, it looks a terrible look.

You right now, for the umpteenth time are wading in hours after the fact to give your opinion on me in a typically aggressive manner, you haven't made a comment about Semedo, you have purely talked about me, and Jeremy Corbyn, so who is doing the derailing?

From my perspective, I would just say that the amount of posts about a situation that none of us knows anything about* has been disproportionate and, at times, your posts have felt like arguing minutiae the sake of it. Whilst I accept that the club's inactivity during the window has caused a vacuum, this has been going on for many years now (the inactivity) and really shouldn't come as a surprise.



*other than that Semedo is out of contract and we haven't announced (i) a new deal being agreed, (ii) a replacement player being signed, or (iii) some other alternative

I would be very surprised if a commercial offer does not contain a longstop date. We've no evidence that it doesn't contain a longstop date, so I have no idea why we're talking about it. For five pages.

Just whinging into the void when we all agree that we want to sign some players is so tedious, and it genuinely gets my hopes up when I see this thread move on by multiple pages only to find the same tedium at play.
