The Summer 2025 Transfer Window Thread

When multiple people are telling you something's a problem, even if deep down you think they're wrong, sometimes you just have to accept it and move on. Let it go 😅

You sir have applied your annoying jack russell personna again, and derailed yet another thread, making it at least 5 pages longer than it needed to be.
Thank fuck you don't see jeremy corbyn as a viable bone, or @Paddy would have shot himself by now, along with most of the rest of us.
Ffs get out more!

It's funny you should bring him up actually:

Delightful read, and all a bit pointless.

He's ran his contract down, its expired, he's left. There is no 'stringing anyone along'. He emptied his house and recorded a leaving video. The only people 'stringing people along' are wolves deciding not to tell anyone and letting LL release some gossip that 'we've offered him a really good deal but he's the one not giving us an answer!'. A deal so good he hasnt jumped at the opportunity to sign...

He's given us the answer. Whether we are one, just not telling anyone to avoid the heat, or two, clinging on to some slim/random hope that he changes his mind, I don't know. But he's left, you dont need a twitter post from the club to confirm that.

Me - Can you make up a transfer rumour involving Wolverhampton Wanderers, it's for a forum that won't stop bickering.

AI - Sure! Here's a fictional but plausible transfer rumour you can use for your forum post:

Rumour: Wolves Eye Late Move for Inter Milan Midfielder Kristjan Asllani

Sources in Italy are suggesting that Wolverhampton Wanderers are preparing a surprise bid for Inter Milan midfielder Kristjan Asllani. The 22-year-old Albanian international is reportedly keen on more regular first-team football, and Wolves see him as an ideal replacement should João Gomes depart this summer.

lol, and I’m the one being told earlier I was a bit harsh in a character assessment

StOp derAiling the thrEad and mAking pOsts that will mAke peOple think we have mAde a signIng....something something.

So, in all the angst of what is going on with Semedo, all I can hope is that there is a delay in strengthening our squad because for a lot of our possible intended targets, their season has only just come to an end or is coming to an end. There's been a lot of football being played around the globe since the Prem season finished and I'm hopeful that this is the sort of player we are looking at.

Liam saying that Djiga to Rangers is all agreed and ready to go through as well. It'll be interesting to hear what they think the benefits of that one are. I suppose at the very least it means they're confident that Mosquera will be fit for the start of the season.

It seems that every rumour mill journo/wannabe is quoting Leeds, Sunderland and ourselves for each name mentioned. Must be that they know that signings will be incoming if the promoted clubs are to complete or if we’re going to stop our managed decline.

Connor Gallagher linked now. We’re really going to spend £43m on him when other areas of the pitch are crying out for first team starters.

My complete guess with Djiga is that he’s the one VP is alluding to when saying we can’t make mistakes again in the market. Sounded like a choice of words particular to personal experience rather than looking back to before his time. A Hobbs buy that the manager just doesn’t rate, so loan away. Seems a more plausible scenario than us spending that much money when we were in a crisis position for a long term project player.

A combination of Shi, Vitor’s mate, Gestifute and Matt Jackson.

The A team.
