The Summer 2025 Transfer Window Thread

Oops. I was typing while walking and trying to control two dogs in my defence.
 
Adli is a quality player, just been unlucky with impact injuries. He was outstanding for them when they won the league.

He's a very hard working player and apparently a really nice guy as well. Starting to notice a bit of a theme there with the players we're targeting.
 
Seems clear with Adli, Lopez and Arias that Vitor wants very hard working and creative players behind JSL.

Looks increasingly like Munetsi was just a stopgap hard-working signing to get us to the summer and some of Vitor's main targets.
 
On Hoever at RWB. I would be happier with this if it also wasn't being combined with the LWB being unproven and then the question of Doherty as a starting CB. It's a lot of uncertainty for one area.
 
We need two WBs and one forward minimum, and then try and rid ourselves of Hwang and Guedes. This team is going to struggle to score goals and those areas are where we are going to need goals and creativity. The two WBs we’ve lost we’d all agree were at least good at either defending or attacking and then opinions vary on how good they were at the other. The current replacements are worse at both ends.

At least with the Pubil and Adli rumours it is areas we are targeting.

I agree but also think a CM is also very important, Gomes and Andre are not going to play 90 minutes of every game.
 
No one is taking Guedes, he is an appalling footballer. We're stuck with him.

They aren’t, but we can fudge it to a degree with Munetsi (he actually is a CM and we paid a lot of money for him) plus Bellegarde who also is a CM and did ok last year.

It’s way down the list of priorities in comparison and given how difficult we seem to sign first team players I’d rather concentrate on 3 quality additions to the first XI in key positions rather than adding to the list of tat warming the bench.

Even I can’t believe we’ll get rid of bodies Tommy Tommy Doyle and Traore and not sign cover for midfield. We absolutely need one.
