Nothing wrong with trying to negotiate from a position of strength (we should have done with Ait-Nouri, we did actually do it to a point with Ratheus Nunes as we told City where to go when they tried lowballing) but we AREN'T in a position of strength with Fabio Silva.
He's on a free in 10 months, he doesn't want to be here, the club don't want him here, the fans don't want him here, I very much doubt the manager wants him here (on more than one level), it's over FOUR YEARS since he scored a Premier League goal and it's not like his form on loan has been so irresistible that it's a no brainer for someone to chuck us £15m+, he did ok at Las Palmas but not much more than that (and La Liga has long since stopped being a reliable barometer, some utter tripe has topped 10 goals in that league in recent years, cough Willian Joke multiple times and Rafa Mir cough).
