The Summer 2025 Transfer Window Thread

Rowe is going for €20m. That’ll be why he isn’t coming here, then.
€20m is close to the max for us it seems but it wouldnt stop us if we really wanted the player. We had offered that to Sevilla for Sanchez (and that bid is the reason Napoli still dont have the signing sorted,)

go back a year and we were going all cheap on a CB and yet splashed the cash on Andre.

I think we will sign two at best. A forward who can play off the left as well as through the middle. And a midfielder to back up Andre and Gomes.

Wouldn’t be surprised if we got neither unless we sell someone..

I think it'll definitely be 2, I think we need that left footed CB to challenge/improve on Toti as well though.

As for selling someone I think Silva will go on the last day, Hwang might go on loan with an option/obligation (oh no!) and Hugo Bueno might leave permanently. If Hoever is going to stay then there's no need for 6 wing backs, Lima will probably go on loan but either Gomes or Bueno need to leave. I think Gomes is much further ahead and Bueno weirdly has a bit of value now so it makes sense to cash in now before he spends a season sat around doing nothing.

Need a CB too. Mosquera isn't ready and we can't be relying on Doherty. Don't think we'll get one though, as you say.

Mosq just needs to get through 70 mins v West Ham next week and he is good to go.

Even at my most pessimistic I’m sure we’ll see a couple arrive. It’s surely impossible for anyone involved to think a midfielder isn’t a basic necessity, and there is a longstanding recognition we need something else (pace most likely) up front. What the quality might be, well, who knows.

Wolverhampton appear strong to take Krejci

Girona is asking for a figure of approximately 30 million euros for his release clause

Alarm bells are ringing in Montilivi. When it seemed that the sale of Miguel could be the only important exit that the team would suffer once the league started, in the last few hours the market is turning its attention to Girona. And with force. And in the last few hours Wolverhampton of the Premier League has appeared with force to try to take Ladislav Krejci. The Czech center arrived at the Girona team a year ago and was the only one of the signings last summer who gave an optimal performance. At 26 years old, his projection is obvious, and several clubs from the continent had been interested in him. But none with the force that the one who was precisely Girona's rival in the last Costa Brava Trophy has done so, and Wolverhampton is willing to bet heavily on him, approaching the requests of Girona, which is asking for the approximately 30 million that appear in his termination clause. For now, negotiations for Krejci's possible departure are open, as Mundo Deportivo reported this afternoon, but Wolves could take the Czech in the last days of the transfer market as they did with Santi Bueno a few years ago. In this case, Krejci would also welcome the possibility of a change of scenery and making the leap to the Premier League.

I still think that with the type of injury he sustained that we shouldn’t count on “good to go” meaning “as good as he ever was”.

An extremely left footed centre back, no less. He can also play in midfield. Hopefully we can negotiate them down a bit from the €30m with some achievable add ons and get it done.

We need to be seeing some proper genuine links coming out the woodwork over the next few days to get in what we need before the window closes.

Why do we need links to come out? To stop you, and others, pissing your pants so publicly?
