The Summer 2025 Transfer Window Thread

Weren’t we linked with Lucumi quite a fair bit last January? Looks like he’s off to Sunderland for £20m. They got Mukiele for £12m!

Wolves have ruled out selling Jorgen Strand Larsen, talkSPORT understands.

Newcastle United hold an interest in the Wolves striker, who scored 14 Premier League goals last season.

Strand Larsen only joined Wolves from Celta Vigo in the summer of 2024 on an initial loan, with Wolves subsequently triggering a £25million option to buy.

Reports on Thursday suggested a £60million package might tempt Wolves into selling this summer, but talkSPORT understands no asking price has been set, and Wolves have no intention to sell so late in the window.

Wolves' focus is on strengthening their squad and there is no appetite to entertain offers for their most influential players.

Crystal Palace are also interested in Hwang Hee-chan, but Wolves are reluctant to loan the South Korean striker to a Premier League rival.

Will have been mentioned somewhere but Hobbs is off to Palace isn't he? As my Palace mate was messaging and asking me what I thought about him the other day.

Hopefully that keeps the Hwang deal going, shame we don't want to loan to a Prem rival as it strengthens our own chances on two plains that way.

Which is why I’d want his defensive stats to look better. Eh, seems really well liked and I won’t judge on stats alone.

He's supposed to be great in both boxes at set-plays, presume his specific profile has been chosen for a reason, to complement what we already have. Also captained Sparta

West Ham (obvs) and Leeds in the mix too if you believe what you read.

My only concern here would be the second signing in a row we lose for AFCON
You're talking missing three matches perhaps , including FA Cup . It's not a deal breaker I would have thought if the player has proven quality .

More than that i think.

Starts 21st December. I think its 10 days before the start we have to release players. So probably ruling group stage players out for

Arsenal, Brentford, Liverpool, Man Utd, West Ham games

They go further in the comp

Everton, FA Cup.

Get to the Final

Newcastle and potentially Man City.

Obviously not all will progress but the start is a hefty chunk of games over the busiest period of the season.

Bit complacent considering we're one of the relegation favourites as it stands, we can't just write off any matches.

It's not the quality of the player coming in that's the problem, it's who covers the gaps when Agba, Tchatchoua, this guy and even Munetsi aren't here
