Diego Costa joins Franck Ribery at my local Italian club Salernitana for rest of the season with the option to stay if the Sea Horses aren't relegated (given they are 8 points adrift at the bottom of Serie A with a GD of -39, I expect he will just stay in a hotel)

Newcastle after going round Europe trying to sign a centre half for £30odd million are at the Dan Burn stage of the transfer window after Brighton said no to Webster

Who's funding those two salaries?

They were owned by Claudio Lotito who also owns Lazio and faced being kicked out of Serie A last month as that was against the rules.

They were given a 31st December deadline to find a new owner or face being kicked out of Serie A.

With hours to spare they accepted an 'irrevocable' email bid from Daniele Iervolino, founder of Italy's Pegasus Online University.

Newcastle are like the lad in the night club who tries to chat up all the gorgeous girls and keeps getting told to fuck off so ends up settling for a one night stand with an overweight and ugly 50 year old with saggy tits...

It’s a strange old situation at the Toon, richest club in the world and no one of any quality wants to go there.
Am I right in saying the have spunked £37m on two thirty year olds and that’s it?
Hardly the stuff of dreams, bit of a shambles to be honest…very amateur and funny if they don’t sign three or four game changers in this window as they’re heading for the Championship otherwise

And that's why the game changers are wary. If they get Guimaraes then that is a superlative signing, but what do they do if one of the Sky Six tries to blow them off the hand? All they can offer at the moment is huge wages.

Villa bought Callum Chambers. Bit random.

Free transfer apparently. Reasonable bench option if he's accepting of that

That's a hefty book loss for Arsenal isnt it? How long did he have left?

Liverpool hijacking Spurs for the Luis Diaz deal is pretty funny the day after they lost out on Adama
