Ukraine

There seems to be positive news coming out today about peace in ukraine

the headless and handless body of a CEO of a Russian magnesium and potassium mining company K-potash ltd has been found in woodland in Kaliningrad, police have said it’s a suicide (obviously) and aren’t looking for anyone else in connection with the death

It’s ramping up, polish jets shot down Russian drones and missiles over Poland last night, there’s a train carrying fuel in Lithuania exploded early this morning, Poland is sending thousands of troops and equipment including tanks to the Sulvaki gap and the Belarus border and actually shutting it over the weekend, mainly because of joint Russian Belarus armed forces exercises due to start in a couple of days, the Ukraine invasion started with “ military exercises” just over the border in Russia

Poland shoots down 3 Russian drones heading towards Resezow airport, which is the main hub for weapons and equipment into Ukraine.
The way it’s being reported, was breaking news two hours ago, it seems a separate attack to the drones that were shot down a couple of days ago

Putin knows he has to do something dramatic after the strikes in Moscow.

Baltic countries and Poland imposing a no fly zone near their borders of Russia and Belarus while the Russia/belarus military exercises are on, also Baltic countries are moving troops to the borders as well.
Latvia closing and securing it’s its border crossings with Belarus

Lublin airport in eastern Poland closed earlier, flights diverted due to a “military emergency” in the surrounding airspace.
Russian drone crashed in Chilia Veche Romania near the Black Sea coast and Ukraine border.
Iskander rockets have been photographed 2miles from the polish border ready to launch from Belarus

3 Russian Mig 31 fighter bombers heading towards Tallinn and in Estonian airspace for 12 minutes intercepted and forced to turn back by Italian F35 fighters.
Tbh should have just done what Turkey did a couple of years ago when the Russians strayed into Turkish airspace for just 35 seconds, they were shot down, Russia threatened escalation but never did it again.

It's clear Putin is pushing NATO to see how far he can go. They should tell him, keep the fuck out of our airspace or you're getting shot down.

Nobody in the chain of command wants to give the nod to do it.
There was a documentary series on channel four about the raf typhoon pilots, similar incident on there, pilot asked, his boss said it’s going up the chain, pilots asked again after 20 mins escorting the intruder, got told they’re still talking, intruder left of their own accord

This is where it needs stronger leadership. No-one wants to escalate military action but if you keep appeasing a bully it only ends one way.

Shouldn’t be underestimated just how quickly shooting down a Russian plane can escalate very quickly into an international crisis.
Once you’re down that path it’s very hard to put the brakes on.

It’s already an international crisis, has been since Russia dragged underwater cables in the Baltic and cut off power and internet in Sweden,
Since it ignited flammable parcels in DPD depots in Germany and Birmingham in the hopes of bringing down one of their planes,
Since it put migrants on the Belarus border to break into Poland,
Since it blew up a polish shopping centre,
Since it blew up a fuel train in Lithuania,
Since it lobbed drones into Romania and Poland,
And so on.

Like I said Turkey shot down a Russian jet in its airspace, Russia threatened all out war, then quietly sneaked away and never did it again, they can’t really claim it was a mistake when they’re 5 miles from Tallinn and circling around for 12 minutes, it’s a clear breach.
NATO needs to put up a no fly zone, tell the Russians no excuses, any breach you WILL be shot down

Where does it stop especially when you have a like for like retaliation?
Rational thinking needs to be applied whilst incurring air space is a violation it’s not killing anyone.
If you suggest NATO should be being proactive and shooting down Russian planes then you lose all ability to negotiate on your terms, for starters you destroy any little trust that may have existed.
NATO plane kills Russian pilots, you’re entering a completely different ball game to Russia invading Ukraine etc.
