With 10 Dave's then we don't need a goalie - the others will run around sufficiently to disorient the opposition so they won't get anywhere near our goal

The fact that he has had more appearances this year (& 2014/15) than he did in the Lg 1 season is a telling factor in our inability to improve.

There is a place for him in the squad, but not with this much usage

He was injured for quite a bit of the L1 season in fairness.

Basically he's played more in the last three seasons because he's stopped breaking all the time (bar the hamstring injury he got at QPR last year). He used to be unavailable a hell of a lot.
