Welcome to Wolves Matheus Cunha

Double whammy, too; he never looked the same after leaving Saints.
He was nearly 34 when he left Southampton and went on to captain Lille to a Ligue 1 title a few years later.

He does that all the time on stories he is running.

Presume to keep his numbers active when not much new around for him to talk about

It's a quiet month , season finishing up , lads thinking about holidays .

I had completely memory-holed this tbh. Fair play.

Looks like it’s a relatively done deal, three payments across two years?

Let's hope he's a bit more respectful than Neto first time he has a goal involvement against us

This really wouldn't bother me, it didn't with Neto. Players move on, their focus changes.

TBH I'm just pleased that this seems to be sorted quickly rather than the whole saga dragging on. Of course, it remains to be seen how quickly we will act to bring in the 'right players' with the money we make from this deal.

I'm the same, players move on, dunno why they aren't allowed to celebrate goals for their new club.
Glad it's sorted and we can move on, even though it's been quick, it's been a bloody soap opera.

If you're going to make a point of talking about the club sentimentally while you're here, if you don't follow through with respect once you're an ex player, it renders the former pretty insincere and redundant

Who said they're not allowed? I just think less of them if they rub it in our face and it's not warranted.

He was definitely being a dickhead. He celebrated that assist more than any goal I'd seen him score. I could understand if he'd been mistreated or whatever, but that just wasn't the case
