Wolves 0-2 Brighton: Verdict Thread

Unless I've missed it then the club haven't put out the social media posts before Chelsea or Brighton this year. So if we are done given our previous then they've opened themselves up to a bigger fine as they can't say they've done all they can to mitigate it

I thought we played some nice, tidy, largely ineffective football in the first half, moving the ball too slow, taking two or three touches. Second half we upped the ante for a while, without creating much. The four subs were all justified but not at the same time imo. The 'shape' and organisation went to pot. Best chance fell to Bellegarde unfortunately. Shortly after a highly risky ball by Sarabia (sub) went unchallenged by Bellegarde (sub) and ended up in the back of our net, the nearest challenging player being Andre in the position vacated by Doherty (subbed).
M.O.M for me was Agbadou or Toti possibly.

Oh and fuck off with the homophobic chants Wolves. Utterly disgusting. The PL should throw the book at us for it.

Problem is those who do it can’t see what’s wrong and the problem is with the “woke society” not them.
Again people thinking that football grounds have different laws to when you’re outside the ground.

Left the Steve Bull after the 2nd goal to collect and take daughter to a function, must have been hundreds leaving.

Got to the gates and stewards hadn't opened them, things started to turn nasty as they refused to open up, another minute or so and thousands would be trying to leave, causing massive problems.

It was sung with proper vitriol by people around me in S1. I'd happily see the lot of them identified and banned.

Never understood the "it's only banter" argument, if you wouldn't say it to a stranger in a pub, keep it out of a football ground too.

Yep always say to them “would you say the same thing to a work colleague who was gay” of course they wouldn’t as they know they’d probably be sacked.
Banter is a word used by those justifying themselves being vile.
Thirdly I hear “it wasn’t directed at one person” or “no one was offended” firstly it doesn’t matter and secondly have canvassed the whole LBQT community to confirm that no one is offended.

We've just had a freaky fixture list this season which has lead to exaggerated statements and unusual streaks both ways. Our first 9 games were against the teams currently in the Top 9, the 6 before City the bottom 6 other than ourselves. That's just bizarre, even if you'd expect to pick points up in the former and drop them in the latter

At the moment we are a middling PL side capable of good performances and damp squibs. Nuno's side finished back to back 7ths, this side wouldn't even with Vitor having a full season.
All relevant points that you would make, or not make, regardless of the game today. Today tells us nothing we didn't already know.

In the Summer Wolves need another number 9 of some sort. Strand Larsen is the main man but when he is out you can't have chances like Guedes playing. Like playing with 10 men.
Not need the clasic 9.

You guys need one player play in all position of attack, like Puado and others.

You can punish people but doubt it has an effect on the individual(s). Probably the opposite.
It's upbringing or lack of.

The squad is limited at PL level even when everyone is available. Probably too good to go down but not near good enough to get into Europe. Our league position is about par, it’s probably par for the size we’re as a club also.
Problem is our owners think our position is far more solid than it actually is.

I'm very conflicted about Cunha.. When he's on his game he's the literal definition of a game changer. When he's not, he doesn't other anything else and does not integrate well with the team.

As a team, we've outgrown him in a weird way.

that is normal, the attack of this team its Cunha or JSL.

The others dont exist: Sarabia, Guedes, Muntesi

But that is normal if u whant play 5-3-2 and ur two wings are bad.

That system its because the wings and the defense are bad defenders, not because that wings are great on attack.

You guys need less defender, and more midfields-attack players.

Like 3-4-3 but good wings, or 4-2-3-1 whit good midfields.

I know the size of club discussion has been done to death and is subjective, but I think that's about where we should be. We are bigger than Fulham, Palace, Bournemouth, Brentford and Brighton who are above us, smaller than Spurs and Man U below and on a par with West Ham and Forest, so towards the top of the bottom half without any real relegation dramas and the odd deep cup run would be about right.

This is where I see us to if you look at the all time top flight record I think we sit about 12th.
I can live with it with an occasional venture into the top half and a cup run. For a team in our geographical location in a provincial city we punch pretty well.

Sure there's an element of this but I think it's too easy to pass it off as "they're thick/ignorant" but some think football is a bubble where anything goes. They need to start finding out.
