Apologies for being a party pooper but if it is Robin Li is nobody else just a teensy bit concerned that he made the majority of his money from designing a search engine that essentially censors what the Chinese people can search for, at the behest of the ruling Communist party (dictatorship)? Tiananmen Square anyone?

Tiananmen Square was 27 years ago and things have moved on a bit from then (imo)...We're not talking North Korea here so no, not bothered that he made his money creating Baidu

In what way have 'things moved on a bit'? The same Communist Party is in ultimate control that suppressed the pro-democracy movement that day. Similar dissent is still suppressed all over China to this day. One of the areas of control is pretty rigorous censorship of the internet. Although Google initially abided by Chinese government restrictions but I understand they've now pulled out. Baidu was always the main player anyway.

Nope. If owner(s) would be russian then I would be worried.

So Robin Li is the reason for the Communist Party running China?
He got his further education in America as well as experience in finance and computers for American an company...

"Born and raised in Yanguan, Shanxi Province, Li studied information management at Peking University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree.

In 1991 he went to the University of Buffalo, the State University of New York, to study for a doctorate in computer science.

A married father-of-four, Li received his Master of Science in Computer Science degree in 1994 after deciding not to continue with the PhD.

His first steps as an entrepreneur were taken with IDD Information Services, a New Jersey division of Dow Jones and Company, where he helped develop a software program for the online edition of The Wall Street Journal.

In 1996, while at IDD, Li developed the Rankdex site-scoring algorithm for search engine page ranking, which was awarded a U.S. patent.

He later used this technology for the Baidu search engine."

China is trying to modernise and having their best and brightest people learning more and trading around the world can only help

Tomorrow

The thought of tomorrow can be scary
Having no clue what’s awaiting
Each day is a complete wonder;
Petrifying and somehow frustrating
Tomorrow could be your last
Or the first time you experience living
Tomorrow someone who only takes
Finally concours the art of giving
A sentence or even a word
May completely change your views
The happiness your in right now
Could turn around with some bad news
If your heart and mind are at war today
Peace could be found tomorrow
Smiles happiness and love can replace
Today’s frowns, cries and sorrow
At the end of the day simply appreciate
Tomorrow is the worlds biggest mystery
Just know that today is a present
And anything but tomorrow is history

Morning all, let's hope the rumours are true and todays the day

People asking for when it's going to happen need to be a bit patience. If you've bought a house you'll know how they can be delayed up until the last second and this is a hundred times more complicated for the lawyers than a house move.

It will happen when it happens.

Yeah... but when's it gonna happen?

Somebody said its like being a kid on Xmas eve but its worse we have no idea how many sleeps there are until Santa Li arrives

We do need to get in with it a bit - we kick off against Rotherham a month today & so far we've signed a reserve goalie...

Has anyone rang Clubcall yet to see what the latest news is?

Right I'm here and logged on for the duration :)

Got the girls' sports day today so won't be able to refresh every three minutes like a fucking big kid. Deutsch, text me if summat happens.

Can't see it happening today.

My pessimistic head keeps wandering why we weren't in the market for some of Walsall's out of contract players.
