Wolves History Thread

Whenever I see Wolves memorabilia from the early 70s it strikes me how much changed in aesthetic and sensibility from the Billy Wright era. Just 14 years between his last season and this cover. Seems like hardly anything has changed between now and 2011, maybe 2001, in comparison.

Stylistically, not a lot has changed since the 00s, in any way really? Its already repeating.

The 90s, 80s and 70s were very distinct in their fashions? The 00s, much less so.

Too early to look back at 10s really to compare.

A very young Bully before he became the Tipton skin...

9 years ago today, we welcomed our glorious leader Jeff and Fosun.

In 24 July 1998, Wolves played a friendly match against 1. FC Union Berlin in Berlin. The game took place at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei. Wolves won the match 2-1, and the game also marked the founding of the Berlin Wolves Supporters Club. The founding members of the Berlin Wolves met at this very game.

Great stadium, epitome of a great community club. Literally rebuilt by the fans and still 3 sides standing. Worth a visit to a game for anyone who gets the chance. The walk through the woods to the stadium from the train station is something as well

Remember that well, driving home from hols in Scotland, reports on the radio. First goal Keane, 2nd goal Keane.
Me and both my lads were 'Keane' who the fuck is that?. Embarrassing really but in fairness there was no online forums then so our Wolves news was probably from the Shropshire Star and we'd not been taking any notice of the age groups. It was bloody exciting when he broke through.

I was on holiday in Devon and my thoughts were exactly the same. What a natural talent he was.

I remember there being a rumour that he was Roy Keane's cousin permeating for a few weeks.
