Wolves History Thread

In the early days of Fosun I used to pinch myself that such a wonderful thing was happening to Wolves as we didn't usually get nice things, I would wonder what might happen to burst our bubble. Then along came the global pandemic!

Loved Waggy, my first Wolves favourite, probably because we played the same position🤣.
Underrated (not by Wolves obvs). People think he was an out and out left winger but he often popped up on the other side, also coming from a deeper midfield position at times. His goal against Arsenal in the 5-1 drubbing is still one of my favourites. Was so glad he got a League cup medal even though he probably shouldn't have been playing, hiding an injury.

And 25 years ago today:

I went to this. Such a low quality game.

Robert Taylor's debut and he lived down to expectations (I'm not having him claiming an assist for that either).

Also spot in the build up to our goal George Ndah clearly being absolutely nowhere near fit to play and yet we picked him anyway.

we were really excellent up until the first goal QPR scored that night! Then it just fell apart. The goalkeeping Jesus Christ. He was actually alright when he played but that was such a terrible start.

Ken went weird for the first time that night. Randomly starting bollocking Dicko at 2-0 up for no real reason then took him off at HT.

He should have known from the season before that the iteration of that team wasn't 30% of what it was when Dicko was off the field.

Then Afobe decided he fancied being Dennis Bergkamp. You're not Dennis Bergkamp.

I thought we’d play well at home to hull before that too. If we’d just signed a proper left winger and not fucking Ojo we could have still been a good team.

Don’t get me started on that. You’re a really good number 9, why wouldn’t you want to keep being that ffs

Dave Edwards played on the left of the rhomboid that night. Glorious.

Fucking Ojo. Wonderkid as in I wonder how he ever passed a trial anywhere.
