That's the one. I remember he signed upstairs and I had to hop up the stairs with my sticks. My mate and I went and queued up in the Wulfrun Centre to meet him when he signed that deal
Some surprising names at the top of the first division scorers.
See my edited post, Leroy Rosenior only ever scored 15 times for West Ham so some crossover there as he signed for them in 88.Who was Rimmer at Watford? Surely a player bought from the lower leagues that season with goals carried over ?
Stuart, carried over from ChesterSome surprising names at the top of the first division scorers.
Seems Stuart Rimmer's were all at a lower level for Chester (and have been stupidly counted as he only ever scored once for Watford according to Wikipedia).
It was Stuart Storer who was the joint deal with Clarke. Blues overpriced him and underpriced Clarke to rip us off on the sell on clause as we'd knocked them on Joe Gallagher by going pop. He never played for them.Stuart, carried over from Chester
Think he signed for Everton at the same time as Wayne Clarke
Later played for Walsall
Edit: Rimmer was at Everton at a different time but something rings a bell about Clarke and Rimmer

I’m sure McClair was the first MU player to score 20 league goals in a season in the top flight for absolutely ages. Just checked and the previous player was Best in 1968.See my edited post, Leroy Rosenior only ever scored 15 times for West Ham so some crossover there as he signed for them in 88.
Brian Mclair's are all his though it would seem, obviously shifted to a more midfielder role as he got older though.
What a season it must have been watching Man City!
