Maye is a wildcard. Charlotte boy (went to the ritziest public school in the county, of course). That was him to New England at #3, for those not watching along.

I think Jayden Daniels is a huge whiff at #2 for Washington.

Think the implication is that if they're aspiring to be like us, they'll be down there.

I remember this clear as day, somehow (or, I feel like I remember it clearly). He was practically still a kid but IIRC when asked about staying at Hibs his facial expression said "stay in this shithole? For real?"

There are no true scrubs at this level but we could damn well make them work harder for it.

Doyle as the #6, Lemina and Gomes/Traore/Bellegarde as dual #8s feels like something is there to be unlocked, but moot anyway as it won't be either of us rocking up in the manager's seat at Molineux next year.

I'm choosing to ignore this Hwang slander. 🙈

That's probably fair, certainly at the moment. I think Gomes or Lemina could be an effective shuttler (I believe that's what the kids are calling it), but we absolutely couldn't afford it at the mo with how haphazardly we approach our midfield shape anyway.

Shouldn't we? On paper that seems a decent trio.

Gary literally what was I just saying about putting defenders in positions that accentuate their weaknesses holy shit How in fuck's name are you going to put the guy who can't defend the back post at center half??????

Surely the problem here is that absolutely nobody tracks Semenyo when he goes into the channel between Semedo and Kilman? Obviously you'd like Semedo to stop the cross but equally feels like you're asking him to mark two guys at the same time, one stood still and the other running at full tilt...

Somewhat, yeah. I think the bigger problem is that GO wants us to turn the ball over in wide areas and he clearly likes for that pressure to come from a CM; problem is that the rotations to fill in the gaps that such a tactic leaves are all over the goddamn place. We leave dangerous areas devoid...

Disagree, we leave the center of the pitch horrifically vacated even in a 5. It's been a problem more than a handful of times this season and it's a major issue we haven't seemed to take steps to solve.

I really want to stay positive about GO, and this is categorically not the same as the infamous Lage season we finished 7th, but we're seeing some tactical red flags that could pretty well punt our survival chances next season to Row Z. If you cannot get a grip through the spine of the team at...

My favorite thing about Gary is his generosity; he just can't stop himself gifting the center of the pitch to the opposition.
