Boxing thread

Ah right. Was only a matter of time. Rees is a deserved top 10 lightweight. Broner to be fair would ko Burns, and probably the majority at 140.

Price banged out in the second tonight by Tony Thompson.
He's not on his own in not seeing that coming.

I've always maintained Price was waiting to be found out. It wasn't just his jaw, Thompson didnt get near his jaw, it was his neck. and the fact that a 41 year old inactive for 5 years stood up to his usual 'power' display and scrambled his thoughts with the first real punch of substance hes felt in the pros. To the neck. Plumber for hire

Found this quote.

"If I was fighting Mike Tyson he wouldn't lay a glove on me because my defence is so good" Audley Harrison 1998.:2xGay:

Oh dear.

Haye V Fury has been announced.

For those of us awaiting boxing's resurrection, the wait continues...

Fury will pull out with an "injury"

I expect he'll end up with one if the fight goes ahead. Haye might be a total dick, but he can box. Fury just lumbers about swinging his arms around.

I think Haye will knock him out inside 5 rounds.

Yep Agreed. Fury has size that's it.

One of the lads I went to school with is fighting on Sky this weekend v Derry Matthews.

Might be worth a laugh...

Yep Coyle.

Hasn't changed since school!

You went to school with Coyle? Hahahaha. But I´d rather see Fury in another fight. They signed up to fight on 28 September. We´ll wait and see...

Coyle looked really rather good but Matthews caught him with a great shot and that was that. Would almost certainly have won on points.
