Football Manager

I'm not a fackin wheeler dealer, fack off :D

Worked for Fergie for over a decade...

One of the keys is not being boring and just picking Wolves (I never pick them any more as real life thoughts pollute the game too much, I mean he was waaaaaaaank but Seyi probably was worth more than £50k when I sold him). Did make me laugh when we were in L1 and loads of people on here were crowing that they got promoted :icon_lol: Good work lads, well done.

Sunderland would be a good shout to start off and familiarise yourself, massive rep relative to the league they're in, some good players for that level, finances should be ok, gate money will dwarf anyone else in the division, players will carry on signing for you wherever you get promoted to, easier to attract loanees from big clubs as you have good facilities, etc etc.

Alternatively you get a free copy of Touch when you activate the game through Steam, or at least you should anyway. I'm led to believe that simplifies quite a lot of it though personally I've never tried.

Cheers. I have got a free copy of Touch with it so am starting there to get familiar with it. Sunderland are a good shout for a team to begin with too.

Please finish 2nd (having been top for ages) just for my amusement :icon_lol:

Can you still get add ons to give you loads of lower leagues?

Still playing FM15 because I've had the same save for ages, though the game was already out of date when I started it, but might be on the verge of getting sacked now so could be an ideal opportunity to modernise.

That'll do for me, my FM15 save is with South Normanton Athletic who I think were Level 10 at the time, just took a voluntary relegation in reality though for whenever football resumes. I finally got them to the Premier League and stayed up last season but lost my opening 4 league games and only scraped through the league cup on penalties so far this season, shaky ground.

Football Manager 2020 is currently free on the Epic Games store.

And yes, as in "no money at all".

Got my Free copy when it was on EPIC enjoying the game so far (apart from every game having a disallowed goal) won the league title with Wolves (on an updated database) and signed messi on a free when he left Barca at the end of the 20/21 season. By signing Messi it’s convinced Neves to stay so a worthwhile £160k a week

Downloded he free version but not even fired it up yet.

Is there somewhere I can get a mega update that includes going down the league ladder a loooooong way?

DW posted a link a while back when I enquired about it, I too downloaded it when it was free the other week and added the extra leagues to start a game with my local club but not got beyond checking the database works yet.

Scrolling up a few posts would have saved me the effort of being nice to Jimmy!!

If you did nice I’d be worried.

Going to start a Hednesford Town save at some point the last lower league save I did was on FM15 and the save file corrupted in the 23rd season as Hednesford Manager just after getting relegated from the Prem

I've just added that onto my game, don't know why I didn't before.

Time to get my local team Basford Utd promoted!

Started a game using my new local team. Thought the basically "yeah, we are fucked, good luck with this shit pal" message was harsh. So looked up their actual results this season

FA Cup - Lost 1-0
FA Trophy - Lost 1-0
League
Lost 4-0
Lost 3-1
Lost 6-0
Lost 5-1

So yeah, they are uber shite

Market Drayton Town's pitch is a couple of mins away from my house and when they are at home I can hear them. So odd hearing people shouting and chanting. Will pop round the corner soon and watch them getting utterly taken apart. £8 to get in, I guess the fans get to see plenty of goals for that amount
