REFERENDUM RESULTS AND DISCUSSION THREAD

I'm still convinced centralisation (perhaps globalisation) is a great concept if it falls in the right hands.

The EU club served/serves corporations not people and it's the corporations that are calling the shots represented in Davos.

Side effects like population growth and demand on public services (compared to taxes raised to fund them) remain ignored and the likes of Amazon still reign supreme and pay minimal tax.

Centralisation currently means the destruction of small businesses and aspiration and an over reliance on the global corporations. The road to Serfdom is set but some will attempt to be more equal than others.

Anyway, Grant Schapps says all is fine but petrol panic buying has started with queues at a lot of stations.

And the government are about to u-turn on the no visas for HGV drivers. Why would they do that if it was not at all related to Brexit?

Just project fear though. Brexit is going to fuck us up well and good.

He also said it's all the foreign drivers fault we don't have enough drivers...

Last week it was Covid stopping UK prospective drivers taking their test. Can’t seem to make his mind up, poor lamb.

One thing I would say is you wouldn’t really want a newly qualified, especially with the reduced test on the tankers. The liquid load makes them much easier to roll and you are basically towing a rather big bomb.

Panic buying was intense earlier.

Driving to Cornwall tomorrow so obviously need a full tank and guessed when I saw Shapps on QT last night it was going to be mental and went at 9am. From joining the queue it took about 40 minutes.

Shower of cunts, the lot of them.

it isn't, because centralistaion ignores context. One size does not fit all.

Wish you'd be a bit more explicit.

I do not believe centralisation (if it means all being equal) cannot exist without Trotskyism.

But how can aspiration be matched with equality?

Some will be more equal than others - Fascism and Communism look the same in terms of hierarchy and authority.

It's always the small being shat on and a bunch of rewarded sycophants preserving the minority hierarchy.

It's the second part that is most pertinent. This was the perfect oben ready deal, and they already want to renege on it. The concessions the EU have offered to make seem perfectly reasonable to me, and the have no obligation to cede at all. The talk of invoking article 16 because of the "unfairness" of the NI protocol is staggering.

They want to revoke it because Northern Ireland has had no supply chain issues with getting stuff through the Republic. Plenty of fuel. Supermarket shelves are full. This makes Brexit look bad as the mainland is heartily fucked.

Let's face it you've got a minority of Neanderthals In Ireland that want to kill each other at the slightest excuse.

This is perfect and fuelled by unelected cunts in the EU club orchestrating that cunt in Southern Ireland.

Separate trade thats covers a united Ireland. EASY.

Well done. You have just given the IRA what they have wanted for over a century. Unfortunately you have also set the Loyalist Paramilitaries onto all out war footing.

And yet you are evidently happy for an unelected representative to renege on an international treaty and and direct UK policy. Not exactly taking back control?

I also must have missed the bit in the leave campaign about the benefits of ripping up the GFA

If peace in Ireland depends on membership of the EU (something that became far more than the early alignment on a common market) then there is one hell of a problem.

Oh goody... Someone (else) with absolutely no grasp of Irish history deciding that they have the answer. Brilliant

So please explain why an elected President and Parliament in the Republic of Ireland and operating for the benefit of their nation are "cunts" while Boris and his clan of fuckwits are right to try to run roughshod over the Republic and all of Ireland and that's all super-dooper.
They made an oven-ready deal which everyone agreed with but they made it in bad faith knowing that they had no intention of abiding by the deal. Now THEY'RE the cunts
