How?

The only person who i can see that thinks us keeping Adama wouldn't have made a difference is Johnny (anyone else please raise your hand) . You say no one has said that, i quote the line where he said it, and then you reply with this, and he makes some unfathomably snarky comment that i don't understand.

I am arguing that point, as to me it seems ridiculous.

You are also defending that point now, even though you said no one has said that? When they have?

Is this some conspiracy you are both having to gaslight me? It's bizarre. 🤣

As for the poll, yeah i thought it was shit (the options, not the title, i know that's an old joke), it's fine as a conversation starter, but when you start quoting the results of such a heavily loaded poll and compare them to other ones as though it's fair, then yeah it looks a bit daft in my opinion.
I had Johnny on ignore at the time.

Seriously, I must have missed that. Ok, one person said that. No-one else did.

You can start your own Lage poll if you like, I doubt there'll be much difference. People don't like him and with good cause. He's a knob and his football is shit.

Barring a sudden uptake in form, Raul to a Mediterranean club. Replaced by a 'name' forward from Portugal (or Spain)
If Neves leaves, also replaced by a Portuguese midfielder.
Saiss back to France, replaced by Gomes and Mosquera
Moutinho replaced by Cundle
An attacking midfielder or forward from Europe that catches everyone by surprise.
What I like here is that you haven't just told us who you'd bin, but what country you'd bin them off to 😂

It was crazy, and i can't remember us doing a deal as bad as this for a long time, it was just so obviously a bad deal for us, so much so that many of us didn't believe it!

Sellars:

Would love to know which part of it was good for the club?

Its like the end of Trainspotting when they make the heroin deal, the buyer knows the seller is in over their heads and plays to their ego and they leave completely oblivious, thinking they were in control.

And murderer Sellars, 'good for the agent' nobody literally nobody could give a flying fuck if it's a good deal for the agent.

I'm still trying to figure out why Barca wanted Adama anyway, was it purely to put a rocket up Dembeles arse?

They were financially desperate and he agreed to play effectively for free as it was his dream.

I don't think they expected to sign Aubameyang either

If it was, fairly good move by them. Whether it was Adama or not, he’s definitely turned a corner.

Swear there was a few who thought we could potentially attract dembele On a free if they kept traore. Madness, or maybe I dreamt that 🤨

Don’t think we need to get rid of 5 or 6 players in all honesty. Much rather 2 or 3 first teamers leave whilst bringing In 4 or 5.

If we got rid of 5 or 6, you’re looking at bringing in 6 or more as our squad is already small. Not for me.

On MGW, I’d be cashing in whilst is stock is high(ish) to Sheffield if they come up.

A few have had toti/cundle in starting 11s, or huge parts of the squad. I personally wouldn’t be comfortable with that, currently on what I’ve seen.

Can’t help but join in on the Adama situ. Personal it did weaken the squad. Would we have more points with Adama? Who knows impossible to say. Equally we could have less. I rate Adama higher than a lot on here (especially Jonny by the looks!) but if we had an ironclad agreement for him to go on loan with an obligation to buy, then fair enough, but we have gained nothing from the deal.

We either need to go all in on 4 at the back or stick with 3, if its the former the current players need a lot of work. We could see:

Sa
Semedo - ? - Kilman - Jonny
Moutinho - ?
Neto - MGW - ?
Raul

Edit - personally I'd be replacing Raul, but that's tricky
Donk might work in a 2 in front of the back 4 if he was employed purely as a ball winner.

If you watch him play for Belgium, be it usually their B team, he just screens the back 4 and doesn't go beyond the half way line. He could do that for us if we remodelled the way we played.

Well you need to sign some other central midfielders who can run otherwise you're playing a 2 man attack with the current squad.
