I think there's a danger we're getting a little over-excited based on a (much needed) decent performance in a game with little riding on it.

RAN and Fabio have shown slight but encouraging progress, Vitinha looks a good player based on fairly limited gametime, and OO looks full of energy and worth having more of a look at.

I was enthused by last night, but I wouldn't be rushing to make too many grand claims about its significance

We’ll be expecting way too much if we are reliant on Vitinha, RAN, Fabio, etc next season. We need at least two ready to go players supplement the current squad.

I love reading people getting carried away.So much better that hundreds slitting their wrists in public.

Of course its probably going too far but fuck it, people go over the top after a defeat so why not go crazy after a *checks notes* 1-1 draw with an all but relegated team (lets not forget Klopp had his players saluting the fans after they drew with Albion a couple of years ago)

Can we all please be careful about getting excited over something good for once.
To bring ourselves back to earth can we all chant the Matchday mantra

Tbf I'm still clinging onto the hope that for one game this season, we play well all match, score a couple, keep a clean sheet and record a comfortable win.

Seeing Vitinha do for us what he's done for the Portugal u21s on cold, wet night against BFS will make me excited.

I want to get overly excited about Vitinha, but I’m still hurting from how much I fell for Joao Teixeira. I genuinely thought we had a worldly player on our hands after his first couple of games.

So sorry Vítor - you’ll have to wait for some proper Jinks love.

There's a difference between excitement and over-excitement, and OTT positivity and OTT negativity are two sides of a delusional coin imo. Seems inconsistent to only call one out.

I vividly remember much over-excitement that we were signing AC Milan and Real Madrid players when Cutrone and Vallejo were due to rock up. That premature feeling isn't always trustworthy.

I remember seeing someone with Teixeira on their shirt after a few games and thought that was a big commitment based on a few games.

The big difference is though that Cutrone and Vallejo were demonstrably shit.

I agree with the sentiment, but Vitinha has now had one good game more than those two combined

Don't get me wrong, I loved watching all the young lads last night too, I just don't fall as easily as some of you old romantics 😉
