Summer 2022 Transfer Window

Apparently we have accepted 23m bid from Forest for Gibbs White.
 
Next season is going to be bloody awful - only vague hope I had was moving to a 4 at the back and playing MGW as an attacking CM / kinda 10 etc. What a fucking mess when we start we a 3-4-3 which is actually worse than the one we started last season with.

Even with Moutinho and Neves in there we are a worse team than last season.

The team in the second season was better!

Player wise, it's not that bad even now. We need a centre back and centre midfielder, both with more mobility to complement what we have. Our three wing-backs when fit are very good for the level. We know how good Neto is and Podence if we can keep him fit and he wants to be here is a good creative attacker. Depth is an issue though and if Neves goes there is a big gaping hole to fill

My bigger issue is my confidence in Bruno to get them performing.

I think it is pretty bad player wise we have a number of players that are not good enough for the level and another batch that are the wrong side if 30 and showing visible signs of decline. Its all gone very stale.
 
Its the lack of thought or progression - last season was clearly not good enough and defensively we over-achieved, the expectation the same can happen again is idiotic,
 
We only defensively overachieved until February; we've already reverted to the mean. The writing is on the wall but the club ain't reading it.
 
If we had to start with Nando's squad, which presumably we won't then I'd go

Pretty much where I'm at - the team isn't in bad shape at all, it's the lack of depth that is concerning. I'd just find Wolves selling MGW odd when he's exactly the type of player we would go for in a transfer window - young, highly rated, etc.

Though I suppose if Neves is staying, he's a very saleable asset.

This is my issue too. He can't play the way he wants with these players and if we don't change the squad then he'll be gone inside 10 games.
