One of my filthiest secret Wolves confessions is that I once left a match at half time (the Brentford match in the first Nuno season - we were 0-0 at half time and went on to win 3-0).

Long story short, I took my now-wife to her first ever Wolves match, two days after finding out she was pregnant whilst she was suffering from actual flu (she played it down and told me she was fine so we wouldn't have to cancel). It was not a particularly pleasant January evening and she'd lasted about as long as she felt she could under the circumstances, so we made the half-time walk of shame.

We even had to ask the guys to open the metal barriers specially for us to leave. There were a lot of bemused looks in the concourse.

- Does anybody have this one beat?

Have arrived at half time, (home v Stoke, last Saturday before Xmas, they didn't want to let me in but I had a season ticket, finished 0-0), but never left before the final whistle.

Only ever left one game early. Palace away in 1999, hell hole that is to get to/get away from, I had to go or I was missing the last train back home. And ain't nobody got time to be staying in one of Croydon's finest B&Bs.

Closest I've ever came in a "fuck this" sense was when Keet Andrews put Albion 4-1 up. But I thought "if you've gone 24 years (as it was then) without leaving early, you're not doing it now". Sat there and saw the misery out. A grim day.

Hull away in 2007 we lost 2-0, we got absolutely battered in the first 30 minutes and with Olofinjana fannying about pretending to be Casper the friendly ghost I walked out just before half time. It really was miserable and it was Olofinjana's first half no show that did it for me.

Don't think I've ever left a game early, I have however skipped a game entirely despite being in town an hour before the game.

My Dad doesn't go to any games anymore, but he was at England v Greece in 2001 at OT behind the goal where Beckham scored that free kick. My Dad and uncle heard the roar from it just as they headed out of the stadium

Was Boxing Day that as well. Merry Christmas!

Looked up the team and all of Darren Ward, Seyi, Jay Bothroyd and Freddy Eastwood started, with Darron Gibson coming off the bench. Collective heart of a pea.

Was that game 1-1, Akinbiyi for us? if so I think we were the same. It was an evening game and the away end was the opposite end of that stand to now.

Yep, his first goal for us.

I'd been to Bramall Lane a few days earlier and he missed an open goal from 2 yards out by absolutely miles. Lost 3-0, absolutely ripped by Martin Smith.

I was ill as fuck that day, really heavy chest infection so sitting in the cold for a few hours wasn't my brightest idea. Always remember that game, piss weak performance and I've never felt so rough at a game before or since.

Remember PNE away when you were sending me pictures of a randoms car on the motorway thinking it was me and I was tucked up at home while you're frantically terrifying a stranger :ROFLMAO:

I was at that game at Bramall Lane, one of my first away games with mates. Not sure how some of the games we went to that season didn't put us off for life

Aye, did that one too, Smith loved us. I was only 14 in '99 and managed to run my AST on two paper rounds. Simpler times!

If I'd been thinking logically then I should have left Pompey away early when Claridge scored a hat trick in the opening half hour. But I think I was paralysed from the shock of watching Manuel Thetis "defend". We had Mo Camara on the left wing in that game too, you can't buy pills that make you see what I was seeing that day.

God yeah. Grimsby(!) away lost 1-0, dire, dire stuff. Took hours to get there due to an accident. Bolton extinguishing any hopes we had of the play offs. Stockport (!!) beating us 3-2 with Tony 'bottle job' Dining starring.

Blues away on the day of the Rover protests when Curle missed a penalty, the only thing that didn't come over the fence after the game wasn't worth throwing.

Think the best away day that season was beating Pompey 3-2 from 2 down.

Great memory that one, think Akinbiyi scored the winner off his arse. Absolutely tipping it down on an open away end. Who gives a fuck when you come from 2-0 down to win though!

Only left one game early as always had a thing about trying not to do it but 3-0 down at Bristol City under Lambert was too much so headed back early to the pub.

Never left early, but then I am a filthy casual, so want to get as much out of the day as I can. Mostly gone to away games, so always clap the lads when they come over.

Wolves 0-4 Villa in 2004 left with 30 minutes to play, was back at moms in tettenhall with still 10 minutes left.
I understand the argument you’ve payed your money so get your full 90 minutes. I also understand if it’s dire and your team is getting battered why stay when you can leave and devote your energy to something else.
I don’t like arriving after kick off, I only ever leave early if it’s blatantly obvious we’re beaten.

Left early once. The game under Saunders v Burnley that basically sealed our relegation to L1.
2-0 down and decided I didn't want to be in the ground when the whistle blew for FT. Missed our super winger Dicko scoring right at the end.

The 2nd Wolves goal I had missed. First was Paul Birch right on HT. I was starving and nipped to get a pie before the HT rush and as I got to the counter I got to hear the roar of the crowd. Decent strike...pie was also good though.

Only left early once, it was after Liverpool scored their sixth in a six-nil drubbing with the infamous Alan Boswell in goal. There was only about five minutes left.
